Absolutely incredible. This line up of bbt will go down in history (if it has not already) as one of the greatest line up's of any prog band. Each player so distinct, so characteristic and so faultless.

They are everything a good progrock group can have, grandious music with lots of things happening, inspired or a taste of earlier big names in prog, strong melodies. Hope they live through their big loss and make great music in the future too.

Oh my heavens! What an astonishing performance! If it looks and sounds this good on my phone, what on earth will that Blu-ray be like when it drops next month? So grateful that the band have released this wonderful performance, showing them as they truly come of age on stage with a superlative rendition of this track, David really owning the stage. I even found myself singing along with the crowd: "Brave Captain of the skies". Amazing! 😊

I did not think I needed to purchase the Summer Shall Not Fade concert since I have the Empire concert on bluray. But from what I can see and hear the sound is equally good and the video is even better giving a better and more varied view of Big big Train's performance.

This music is everything: classical symphonic in the most elevated structure, pattern - within the rock rhythm and dynamic.

A wonderful song and a weird irony given the venue and the subject matter of the song.. Yes David you are sorely missed. I hope QMC Nottingham had nothing to do with why you are not with us now,

I made it to the warm up show in Basingstoke a few days earlier and watching this brought back all those happy memories. The sound quality at both shows was spot on and the performances by David Longdon and the rest of the band near to perfection

Honestly, it probably was due to their lack of touring/performances in the era before streaming. They didn't start performing until 2009 after being a band for close to 20 years.

Considering the band have been on the go since the 1990 , one would of thought they had played hundreds of dates in that time , the fact they haven't is a testament to the skill of the muscians involved . Some bands have to literally play together for years to reach this standard
