@@hardassteel well, if you put on all the theory, first of all khabib was young and under developed. and tibau is khabib 2nd fight on ufc. then against tony, striker will never wins against grappler. because style and size does matter. in theory: grappling is the most effective emty handed martial art. there a japanese book about that. why? because a striker can trow dosen on punches but if it doesn't connect, it a waste of energy. the chance for striker to land his punches on the right place is 1 in 10. so much easier for grappler to grab takedown, the chance is 7 in 10. but size does matter. that's why japanese grappler fattening themselves (sumo) to be more dominance. the bigger, the better chance to win. and tibau is not 155 in that cage with khabib, and he is juiced for sure but only get cough when he fight another guy after that. and then khabib is not a bjj practitioners, he is a 2 time world sambo champion and titled as master of sport. mostly, a bjj practitioners will be satisfied on full guard and not trying to change it. but khabib is always going to half guard because he aims to crucifix or dagestani handcuffs position. and the longer your limb, the easier for khabib to pin you down, because that's the secrets. long limb is useless in close half guard but effective in long range. tony is dinner for khabib, he can break tony long skinny limb easily. it is much harder for khabib if he fight short and bulky guy like al iaquinta, justin gaethje and yes tibau. but of course you'll counter that theory

If Khamzat has a chin, which he probably does, he's going to be a problem.

@Tsjung Fu no doubt and he's fought some tuff fighters, but he's never been in trouble, so we don't know if he get's caught... but I don't doubt he's got a chin. Anyone who will pick a man up and carry him over to his corner so he get instructions while pummeling, this guy is built to fight.

This dudes hard as nails and so far the only person to not get rolled over in less than a couple of minutes. That stone cold uppercut was a thing of beauty! Khamzat is a truly scary fighter. Hope he becomes champion, he surely will. Hes much fun to watch, dismantling anyone in the way. The new gen of fighter has arrived and that hype is definitely justified
@cre8_ur_f84 жыл бұрын
That may have been more impressive than his two quick UFC wins! It's time to give him a higher quality opponent. I would love to see Chiesa get the call but I think Neil Magny makes the most sense and would be a good match-up but that's assuming the Geoff Neal vs Magny has not been finalized already!

Ikram's corner at 4:55, sad to see. Part of the sport though. What an uppercut from Chimaev, can't wait to see him let that right hand go in the UFC. His striking will only improve, as long as the UFC doesn't rush him, and his wrestling + ground & pound are truly horrifying. Hope he's not all hype, I want to see a long, fruitful career for this man.
