The kiss scene still stands as one of the best executed kissing scenes that I think I've ever seen in a video game, and I hope you look it up. From the way the scene is animated and the voice actresses performances before they actually go in for the kiss (how nervous and apprehensive Chloe acts, she can't actually say the words, and the way Rachel reacts lends weight to your thinking that a kiss doesn't mean as much to her as it does to Chloe, but it's a really sweet scene all the same). Although I agree, I think the bracelet was the choice that meant the most to Rachel personally, and I hadn't seen that choice play out before, so that was cool to see. Looking forward to seeing the rest!

Watching this playthrough has really shown me how much I’ve grown based on my first decisions in this game and I just wanna say Kasta, I totally agree with the way you handled Chloe’s and Rachel’s dynamic. It’s SO clear they have romantic tension, (even though we all know what happens..) yet you tried your best to keep this relationship as innocent and genuine as it can be. I look back and realize,(for me) The romantic route felt more like fan service than a genuine build up between the two..yes there was hint’s and dialogue that opened up the route but overall, knowing what we know about Rachel’s future romantic choices and Chloe’s confusion and devotion to Rachel in the end, the friendship route is (IMO) the best way to play as these characters…it’s a tragic story, and I like the idea of their connection starting out as genuine as it can possibly get. (I feel the romance in this game muddy’s the water for their dynamic, yet I love the romantic banter.) in my updated head cannon, they both had deep feelings for eachother, far past friendship. Yet never really “acted” on it. This game is the building of the perfect bridge they can cross together to get to “partnership”, yet we both know that bridge never fully had the chance to get finished…

The kiss option is worth a watch if you get a chance. I also like it as a story beat, in the moment, as a romantic. I think emotional intelligence and romance is the thing this game does best.

As beautiful as the kiss scene is, you have a point here. I also believe, that it doesn't mean as much for Rachel as it does for Chloe and you can kinda tell by her reaction to the question, if you ask for the kiss. The bracelet on the other hand serves better as a proof of trust, especially with the choice you made to refuse it after she told you how important it is for her. And then she is giving it to you anyway. That says a lot.

Yea as I grew older I begin to realize chloe and Rachel’s relationship is not all sunshine and rainbows. I would’ve preferred a bit more slow burn between them considering how volatile the both of them are (Rachel with her family issues and chloe with her family AND missing max, being lonely). With the giving of the bracelet to show some trust from Rachel, I’m sure things would eventually blossom into something romantic ❤

Every decision that every player makes is valid in those games. All the options we're given are things that Chloe would do. That's why sometimes they all come down to the same thing. But not going for the kiss is always the wrong choice.

Awesome that you're a theater girl. I've been doing a lot of community theater the last few years including a Shakespeare play. It wasn't The Tempest but still. And Rachel is absolutely correct about that high you get afterwards. I think a lot of the percentages with the choices reflect people who played the original and are trying to stay consistent between them. New York is a better answer than LA anyway. You move to New York if you either have a lot of money or no money. Guess which camp they fall into. Anyway, I've rambled enough. Cheers Maggie. On to Episode 3 now.

Guys it's her choice not going for the kiss , Let her enjoy it the way she likes to play. I felt the same first when i played this game i though Rachel was doing what she always does and that's Acting like she really cares about Chloe and that kiss didn't mean anything to her compare to Chloe and she only wanted to use Chloe ( like how she did at the beginning she clearly states that she manipulated Chloe to hop on a train to have someone while she is scouting her dad) . By that moment in the game we can see that Chloe is really in love with Rachel and i though their relationship was a little bit one sided and i still think it might have been because if you played lis1 remember when she was dating frank ( that letter in the junkyard) . Also she said she met someone special who i think it migh have been frank or mr Jefferson. All I'm saying is that she seems to be the type to manipulate people into liking her so these thoughts are not far fetched. Unfortunately they rushed the third episode. We could have had gotten all these answers instead they gave us that useless plot with Rachel's mom.

On the other hand if we ignore lis1 and if Rachel was really sincere then I'd say that kiss scene is the right choice and yes it's very beautiful . either way it's still sad playing this game knowing both of them will die in the future 😪 at least we can hope they loved each other until the end.
