The Macguffin son that you keep asking what he's saying, he is speaking Doric, a dialect of the Scots Language. I love that they included actual Scots in to this film

So idk if anyone else has said it, but for Bryce, the “hair” on the horses feet/legs are called “feathers”! They primarily are a trait of certain draft horses, and I believe Angus is a Shire, one of the biggest horse breeds in the world! Lots of feathers and hair too 😂

16:11 I say this every time I watch this movie but when she gets thrown off her horse and cries his name it's so heartbreaking for both of them because he didn't mean to it's just he is scared of what's in there and she was already deeply upset about everything going on :((

I think every mom and daughter goes through a rough patch like this sometimes it’s resolved sometimes it’s not but seeing Merida go through it with her mom was a cute little story Edit: btw miss Nanny McPhee (Emma Thompson) and the girl who played the love interest in the first Nanny McPhee movie voices Merida (Kelly McDonald)

I love this movie... I'm from Scotland and i love that we now have a Scottish Princess... This movie reminds me of my daughter and I. Since she was little when this movie first came out she had been strong willed like her mama. She is a sophomore in hs and still so strong and independent. She is even a curly head like Merida. Such a funny beautiful movie. Also like fun theory if you guys have seen Monsters Inc. The theory that has floated around is that the "witch" is Boo from Monsters Inc who is old now and is trying to find her door so she can see Kitty. 💜💙

This is a movie I somehow missed seeing until recently. My kids used to watch it a lot so I'm not sure how I avoided it. I'm glad Merida and her mom got to be on the same page in the end, although what a crazy way to get there.

this is one of the Pixar movies for some reason I never watched I think it was okay having watched it now it feels like this one leaning into Disney classic fairytale type of story I think the animstion was gorgeous it’s a great story for young girls I just felt it was a bit too familiar glad it exists for young girls tho

I don’t know this for sure but I know in some christian sects or traditions it became a norm or a type of rule to cover a woman’s hair for religious reasons. Just like nina cover their hair muslims do the same.
