The music of James Horner always had a special place in our hearts. His music was always so full of love and heart. This video is from 2016 when we played a suite from Braveheart for the first time. Let's get Imperial March to 10 mils! kzbin.info/www/bejne/roO1pYKApqdrhrc The Rock: kzbin.info/www/bejne/kKKQg4t-i8mZhZI Mafia 2: kzbin.info/www/bejne/gWm6XpWJhKx4jpI

Beautiful music....but using the keyboard instead of Irish pipes....😬😬😬😬😬
@Merewah97 Жыл бұрын
Irish?
@dakotasnydermusic2902 Жыл бұрын
@@Merewah97Even though the movie is set in Scotland, the bagpipe theme heard throughout the score is actually played by Uilleann (Irish) pipes, played with a bellows rather than air through a mouthpiece. This gives it a slightly different timbre than highland pipes (what people typically think of when they think bagpipes)

Why the change of pitch?

The electrical keyboard sound of the accompaniment being played starting at 0:56 is plain irritating and disqualifying. It should've been skipped altogether if they couldn't replicate it. Nothing like the real instrument played in the soundtrack in the movie. That was very powerful and moving. Typical of the genius James Horner. Whatever orchestra plays the movie tunes cannot replicate the quality of the instruments employed by the score composers.
