When i started looking for JP farming tips, this was the first video i watched and i kinda didnt believed the eficiency. But after spending 2 days watching a lot of guides and tips i had to come back just to coment and like the video. This is by far the easiest and fastest guide i found. Great job dude.

Thanks so much for the JP Farming tips. I’ll be sure to look for other areas in the game to do this easily. I’ve just arrived at Elvis’ home city of Wiswald. If you can get hold of BD and it’s follow up for the 3DS. They’re well worth it. I only found them myself last year! I’ll be sure to continue watching your BDII content. A 62 year old gamer. 😂

I farmed the Rare Monster Mushushu near the 2nd town tunnels. 2 hours of killing and zoning got me level 55 and all my jobs capped up to Pictomancer. also great money from weapon and gem drops. Use Freelancer sub job for Bodyslam ability.

You can buy Zeus breath and use them to get through the mobs faster if you want as well. Either way this seems like a good spot to grind, but the herring of the baddies seems like it would be annoying

Doing this strat in chapter 2, and had spearhead and used mowdown on everything. It reminded me of spamming crescent moon as valkyries in the first game, before you get better grinding strats like arcanist and exterminate. Funny since crescent moon is in this but on berserker.

Joe, the number of extra battles you get depends on the number of monsters you lure with the bait. In the instance you caught on video, you got 1 of them before you engaged them. That's why you only got 9 total battles. If you time using the fish just right, you can get 4 or 5 attracted which will get you 12 to 13 consecutive battles.

hmm, I don't know how easy that would be to test. before making the video I got 3 extra without even having one attracted as I just slashed them but good info if true

@@JoeHammerGaming I've been doing it for a while again tonight to get several new jobs obtained mastered and from what I've observed, if you manage to attract 3 prior to engaging, I usually end up with 11 battles. And as for attracting one before engaging, it was always 9 battles. 100% rate on that.

This is somewhat true, I find it better to let the enemy attack you rather than you swing your sword also. I get like 3 extra encounters from 1 doing this.

I have tried like 30 different times, different times of day and all sorts of ways, cannot for the life of me get a chain battle without treat. Have looked a bagillion places and does not specify if treats are needed for a chain battle or not. When I swing with sword, just engages 1 enemy of all that are grped. Same thing when I use treats in day or not, just engage 1 mob at a time, although with treats it does do a chain battle, but does not engage group like video shows. Have tried with a longer sword as well thinking that maybe was not long enough to hit all, but also not the case. Have tried both with treats and without treats both night and day, still only engages 1 mob at a time, not the chain mob thing how it shows it hitting each mob. Would someone be able to explain why that does not happen?

So I had experienced the same issue that you have where you can't initiate chain battles. I found out that you have to progress far enough into the game to where you start your journey to the next town. At this point you'll keep inside the Halcyonia area (*after obtaining Gloria and beginning the quest to head to the next town*). You'll be able to initiate chain battles from this point

Next town you'll head to is Savalon So just stay inside the "Near Halcyonia" area after beginning the quest to head there and you'll be able to do all of this with the Aid of Sloan

How come when I get them all in a corner and hit them they don't chain? Is there a level you need to get?

I don't know why they wouldn't chain, as far as I can tell there's no special level requirement outside of making them flee so you can herd them

Hmmm I though the food just makes it better, but do you have to eat to make it to work at all maybe?

same issue Epic, can't get it to actually hit more than 1 mob at any time regardless of using a treat or not. With treat can at least chain, but still only max chain of like 4 despite there being like 10 mobs crowded right on top of each other, still only hits one of them for some reason I do not know why.

@@phycosis17 hey so I figured it out. You DO actually have to progress far enough in the story to unlock this. I played another like 15 minutes into the story after beating the first bosses, and it eventually gives you a tutorial on chain battles. After that it works perfectly. So we were just trying to farm a tad to early basically ha

@@epic7vet206 Ahhh I figured lol. Still maxed out freelancer and black mage for Elvis, just doing it handicapped lol. Literally just beat the first boss people and went back to main town, haven't gotten out of there yet, will have to see what happens when I actually get a chance to play after work to progress a bit further. Much appreciated for the tip bud, that saves me some headache lol, I'm always for grinding and over leveling as soon as possible haha, guess sometimes is just a bit too early xD
