my Favorite summons are: #1: Hresvelgr. a giant airplane-bird hybrid monster.....that's actually a very unique concept. #2: Promethean Fire. a train from hell whose front car is a massive head that can spit out fireballs pretty damn awesome for a train-themed concept. #3: Deus Ex. a massive clock-geared monster with electrical powers no that's a machine that can kick ass. i've noticed that alot of these summons are based around mythilogical beings but have modern day forms (except the scorpion, maiden & warrior).....& this is a fantasy game? maybe their summoning them from different time periods or something.

There's sort of a reason for that and it's spoilery if you haven't beat the game yet. Also the scorpion is obviously a street with the power lines and buildings, and the warrior is a radio tower.

Hes an interesting tidbit, if you notice all of the summons seem to have the same distinctive aura as the last area of the game. This could imply that the summons are really demons of similar nature and may have a connection to the Dark Aurora which i would like to believe is a nightmare realm or possibly the Land of Wa due to some kind of distortion

Despite this being two months after, this is an important point, but you got it slightly wrong; In the final battle, the final boss "opens a gate to the Celestial Realm" and part of the background turns into what is on your 3DS Camera. This heavily implies the Celestial Realm is our world, and the summons probably come from there too. Susano-o is a figure of Japanese mythology, where I'm not sure about Ziusudra's Sin, I believe it's Celtic. The others have modern-day elemnts: a plane, a train, a machine, and a metropolis.

Hydrentine Ziusudra's Sin comes from Sumerian/Babylonian mythology, just like Girtablulu. Ziusudra is an ancient king, the Sumerian analogue of Noah. I'm not sure what his "sin" refers to, or why the summon is female, but there is a moon god named Sin that's responsible for creating the first rivers.

I really like the concept of these summons, linked with modern technology. That's why the "ice queen" always seemed out of place to me (and far less original). They mixed a plane and a crow for the wind summon, why didn't they mixed a submarine and a whale for the water/ice one ?! x)

When I saw Lux I immediately thought back to Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light. There's also a spell named Lux there. It increases all of the party's stats, confers a regenerative effect and grants 2 action points every second turn. The best part: It lasts the entire battle! So... My question would be: What does it do in Bravely Default?

You can customize your specials in this game so you could make it do whatever you want to an extent :D on this game you can use it to buff allies speed then equip 4 peices for a maximum of an extra +5 turns a choice of any stat to buff along with the speed, immunity to a certain status condition and immunity to a certain element of your choice

TheJolliJarhead Customizable specials sounds pretty cool. But... According to what you said, I can't quite get it to do the following: Increase allies' HP, Attack, Defence and Speed, grant HP regen and grant MP regen (or increase BP gain). Am I correct in this or is it actually possible to do?

Withering Ripple is a debuff attack as you see it causes no damage but I think it's the strongest debuff

It's really OP if used in the right way! I have Tiz as a dark knight with spell fencer as secondary using the sword spell drain then I use Ringabell (who is a conjourer/black mage) to cast withering ripple (built up in a way that lowers physical defence and makes the enemy weak to dark) then i just spam black bane or dark bane, witchever you prefer. This does 9999 damage every attack + Ringabell attacks with dark (but of course before I do any of that I have Ringabell use the conjurers ability to increase M.attack) also doing 9999 every attack and Edea is a ninja with a skill set that with the use of one of the ninjas abilities (don't remember the exact one right now, sorry) does 9999 and that's just with one hand putting the total value of one attack command the double of that. Btw, Anges serves as support.
