Bravery medals for Cornish lifeboat volunteers in daring rescue

Three Port Isaac lifeboat volunteers have received RNLI medals for gallantry after they faced rough and dangerous seas as they tried to rescue a father and son swept into the sea from the cliffs off the North Cornwall coast in April 2012. Read the full story here: bit.ly/12VT7zN

Thank you all so much!! A good friend his first day on a fishing trawler and a storm hit the ship and it went down off the coast of Cork.. Some of the crew including my friend got trapped in the wheelhouse when it sunk. 😢 The coast guard didn't stop trying and brought everyone home to their families ❤️ You guys risk your lives everyday to save and help people 💖💖💖 Rip Kevin 🙏

Beautiful film. Im proud to know my donations buy the kit and build the boats these volunteers need to do what they do. I watched the documentary about the solomon brown when i was young and the unwaining devotion of those men to carry out their duty against the full fury of mother nature haunts me even today.

Congratulations to the guys at Port Isaac on their achievements. I remember the crew down there 15 years or so ago pulling off another amazing rescue. Mike from the Golden Lion was on that one. Like all the Lifeboat crew, he was very modest about his actions.
