Matt Olsen is only one not producing consistently. We would have at least 15 more wins if we had his offense. I wish they could figure out what's going on with him.

I don't think there's anything off with Olson. What we see from him right now is pretty much normal. This is his typical playing stats since he's been in the league: anywhere between a .230 to .255 BA with a .740+ OPS, and he's right on pace within his range for HR's. Plus he tends to strike out a lot, too. Last year was just an amazing year for him, played above himself. Former Brave Freddie Freeman is much better on offense than Olson is, as Freeman and his bat was a huge part of the Braves winning the '21 World Series. I feel that the Braves are very much missing that since Freeman left. Olson, though, in his defense, is probably a top 3 defensive first baseman in MLB. The way he digs out low throws with ease and can chase down/make over the shoulder catches is just superb.

What baffles me is Olson talked before the season started about changes he'd made to his swing in the off-season. Why?! Why would he mess with the swing that produced EASILY the best offensive season of his career, and one that had him lead the majors in homers? I had a bad feeling right off the bat (pun intended 😂) when I heard that. Just made zero sense to me.

Don’t write off the Braves for the post season. They’re slowly starting to find their groove and if they can time it going into Sept/Oct, they’re going to be a banana skin for some teams. Just look at Texas and D’backs last year - no one saw them coming.

Sorry for blowing up the comment section, but i have to add that i feel like Eddie R has injected somethings into the clubhouse aspect of things that was desperately missing. Maybe it's coincidental, but i had good feelings about getting him back and the team has played with a little something extra the last few games. It feels like it to me, anyway. This team, mainly the offense, hasn't been short on talent this year, but just seemed flat. It definitely had the feel of more of a mindset issue than anything else. Something seemed off, and maybe whatever it is that Rosario has in that regard was the missing piece to the puzzle. Or maybe all that's just wishful thinking? 🤷 I dont think so, however. It's amazing how quickly things can change, and it feels like something has. Like we're about to go on a tear and make the Phillies sweat down the stretch. The last couple series with them will be a must watch, that's for damn sure!

Don't question it, just enjoy. I think getting him back added something to the clubhouse that was desperately missing.
