If the fish eat the worms, and the worms have venom, we can eat the fish? Is it cooked out, or just not enough venom to matter? I really like this channel, but they went a little overboard on the hyperbole in this episode. I can't tell what's real, or exaggerated, or the actual threat involved. I once got bitten by one, but it was an accident. I have never been fishing, or done anything like that (because my mom loves all animals and so do I), and even then, the only lures I'd ever seen were all synthetic/non-living. One day, it had been raining, and I saw a big pink worm; it was moving weird, and even stranger, it had so many tiny legs... I picked it up, and within a few seconds, I was so confused that it had bit me, and seemed to shoot itself out of its mouth! Needless to say, I had never been bitten by a worm before. I often would move worms out of flooded places to a less flooded place, or after a rain storm would move them from a sidewalk back to grass. So after that one incident, I have learned that if a worm has legs, then do NOT pick it up to examine it!

But now that I know they only bite when in mortal fear I find them creepy but fascinating. The little guys are too small to do any harm. Only the biggest ones can successfully harm a human. I’ve noticed the little ones are not very aggressive because they are young and inexperienced. The big ones will just try to escape If you bump them. Only biting if they are captured or think they are dying.
