@TheRealJohnHooper Nope, she didn't, that's definitely not on her. As you can see in the series, she and other captains, use a recruitment company to acquire some staff at short notice during a season and I'm willing to bet that production selects nearly all of the crew.

@TheRealJohnHooper In charge, yes, that in no way equates to "hiring every crew member", which they don't. Once the crew are on board the craft, they are in charge of them/the vessel/guests thereafter and can fire/hire new staff. You forget this is a production franchise, too, not not quite the same as general charters. Do some research, the production talk very openly about how crew are hired. Sometimes captains will say they want x, y, z as part of the crew. I am fairly confident that Captain Sandy did not hire the majority of this crew, although the captain would have signed off on it and of course have a say as it's a collaboration. Do you seriously think any Captain would hire someone to be part of the crew if they already knew there was a track record of drama/hazard risk?
