Who would have thought of a Bark River sashimi knife! The Bravo 1.5 for field craft was not a surprise for me. The Ambush Alpha handle has not lived up to its promise before, in other videos. It is also very good to see you using the Blackjack too. Oh yes. There were two cars parked by the road. Will not others in your family not ride in the hunting car still? I am going to get a fire box for my back yard bush craft.

Hi Doc. Wonderful time you had there, and well prepared. In English we would say the second fish you got had a firmer texture to the meat and the first fish meat was of a softer texture. As for trout, the little ones like you got and ate are the tastiest for sure. Fried in a pan are great as well. Longtime no see, Arrigato my friend.

Wako-san, I am curios about the thickness of the Bravo 1.25 handle. I also have 9 cm hands. Do you feel the grip is too wide on bravo 1.25, or that it may be too wide with spacers?
@virtuovice7 жыл бұрын
Micarta is normally thick enough for Bravo knives without liners while Wood needs liners for strong fist holding. The handle thickness is a little different piece by piece anyway because it is hand finished. Thanks.

So I need to know what's best fox river or gunny hunter or classic drop point. If you only had one knife ever
@virtuovice6 жыл бұрын
Those you mention are all hunting knives. From Bark River, Fox River 3V in regular thickness in a wood handle is by far the best hunting knife and rampless Bravo1 3V in regular thickness in a micarta handle is by far the best bushcraft/survival knife in my experience. Hunting knives and Bushcraft knives don't cross over in my opinion. Thanks.

@virtuovice Your videos are great however since you change the grind on almost all of your knives, it makes it impossible to see if a knife is worth buying and using from the factory. If I have to change the grind on a knife before I can use it, then I really dont want to buy it, I would rather find something that works out of the box.

Hi, if you had to pick either the Bravo 1.25 or the Bravo 1.5 which would you pick? Thanks
@virtuovice7 жыл бұрын
Brabo 1.25 because its blade length seems almost the maximum as a useful cutting tool. Bravo 1.5 feels like a chopping and batoning tool in the hand. Thanks.
@adamd79567 жыл бұрын
Good point. And Between the Bravo 1.25 and Bravo 1.25 LT, which do you like more?
@virtuovice7 жыл бұрын
For wood splitting the regular 5.5mm thick Barvo 1.25 seems substantially more powerful and efficient than the 4mm thick LT. The Bravo 1.25 has a 5 inch blade and its target logs are thicker than those of the regular Bravo1. So I love the Bravo1 LT whose 4.0mm thickness is just right for its target relatively thin logs. In short the regular Bravo 1 is a little too thick and the Bravo 1.25 LT is a little too thin I suppose. Thanks.
