Surprised it took so long for someone to mod Meta Knight's glide into SSBU considering the animation for it is already in the game's files

The animations never existed in Ultimate but here, they have been ported directly from Brawl. Most of the gliding code is what exists in Ultimate but we used none of it since it's missing what controls gliding momentum and we have no idea how it works. So we improvised and made our own code to make it look visually as accurate as possible. It's still not perfect since there's no speed decay.

What’s funny is if you just directly ported Brawl Meta Knight into Smash Ultimate he would still probably do well against these intentionally very overpowered characters.
