they didnt know what was in that river maybe sharp objects or rocks, I would have tried to find another way or checked the river first.

yes that's always a problem when fording rivers. It happens easily that you overlook bottles or rocks. But I have to admit here the entrance as well as the way out seem to be prepared, so maybe they use it more often or checked it before.

​@@rotteddwelling on the other hand, pollution is generally a problem, bad things can happen everywhere. Once on a field path my horse stepped into glass shards of a beer bottle and cut its frog. It should have been a safe path, there are people with small kids...

Grace Woodifield the horses are whipped and kicked, if one gets stuck they smack it till it gets unstuck, it’s plain abuse also running horses on solid grounds happens a lot, a lot of hunts also still hunt foxes

No absolutely you are the first person ever to make an ill informed class based attack on people you don't even know. Loosley disguised "I want everyone to eat Soya" thread perhaps? You do know that Bray Harriers are a drag pack? You do know that in the drag hung there is no fox or live quarry, but riders drag a scent around a particular route for the dogs to follow. I see that you presume that when someone gets up on a horse that they become a toff! So are all jockeys toffs too or just the ones you ascribe social class to in order to deride them and make fun of them?
