Honda didn't improve that much, Mclaren's inability gave that impression, Red Bull just used the engine correctly. Mclaren didn't want to compromise their aerodynamics, so they could not provide the engine with the cooling and space it needed. But the swap to Renault proved that Mclaren was at fault for that, because their car continued to be shit.

@@sheikyerbouti5200 Yeah, I generally agree with you that as McLaren was clearly the dominant partner in respect to the power unit packaging within the car, the failure of the initial 2015/2016 car is ultimately down to them, and of course it was McLaren who brought forward the project by twelve months. On the other hand, Honda should have been more realistic about being able to deliver what was being asked of them, they shouldn't have made such bold and untrue claims and predictions to the press, and they also sufferred failures that were traced to poor quality control of materials and assembly.

This was "simply simply lovely"! Max is freaking brilliant, jumped off the couch every time he passed Hamilton. The way he passed Charles to keep momentum to overtake Hamilton, the restart overtake and then the last restart where he slowly dragged everyone to the line was the work of a genius! You can like or dislike the guy, but his driving style is undeniably making this sport exciting. Redbull chose to be aggressive with the strategy the entire race and trust Max to do what he does best, which is not sitting behind like a grandma. That race was entertainment to the Max, and he was like: Balls to the pedal to push it to the metal! :)))

But that Honda engine sound tremendous, the best sounding engine of this era. Also you have to acknowledge that both Red Bull and Toro Roso where lower on downforce than the Mercedes, the Toro Roso had the best top speed of the whole grid. Never the less, that Honda engine is pushing really strong! Best part of the race was Gaslay getting away from Hamilton in the las few meters to the finish line.

I think Max would win most of the races without breaking a sweat, except for Singapore probably because the warm humid conditions there 😜 The only reason why Max was involved in incidents last year is because with Red Bull he didn’t have a car with which he could start on the front row every grand prix. He made a great decision to join Mercedes when he did and that one decision made his career. Even "average" drivers like Rosberg and Bottas are incredibly hard to defeat in Merc. I am not a fan of Vestappen, but I do recognise amazing gift he has. I do believe that if Vestappen would come to Mercedes, he would win with Hamilton easily. Its just my opinion.

@@michalbenyskiewicz9447 people forget Lewis history..The dude won Gp2 in 2006 with equal car and before that formula 3 in 2005 and dominated all in his junior career...he almost won the championship in his rookie year losing by a point and beat Alonso in same car. , won the title the next year....He is the only driver to win at least one race in every season.. Ferrari had the best car in 2018 a fact and had an equal car in 2017 , but Lewis made the difference.. Verstappen is good and definitely a future but nowhere near Lewis..he should fight with leclerc first

It's not about bold moves and aggressive driving, it's about consistency, smart choices, beign able to hit home the same lap 60 laps in a row without mistake. Verstapen is fast, but in the past 10 years probably, we haven't seen a champion who is super aggressive. Almost all of vettel and Hamilton's titles come from just not making mistakes. That's what it takes to be great. Also verstappen probably isn't faster than Hamilton from the looks of how they drive the car. Lewis is much smoother.
