I really don't understand that everyone thought it's finally the big Brazil comeback time based on the game with Korea. That looked more like training for them than a WC match, same as our game with Canada. For a team like Brazil taking down Korea should not be considered much of a success. Also they would've struggled against Japan way more than Croatia did, because Japan never lets the other team to hold ball for long, whoever has the ball has 2 Japanese players on them as well, almost consistently. They're great with intercepting of short passes and lethal in contra attack. I know people don't like our extra time and penalty wins, but we are aware of our weakness, have respect for opponents and we adjust according.

@CorteRapidoéTramontina I think that once the group stage is over all calculations stop and energies are so high that anything can happen it's just the matter of how united and resilient the team is to take it. We won against France just a few months ago in Nations League, but it's not the same feeling. Japan was trying to make history, and they cought that momentum. So much respect for them! Brazil has too much ego on the board to play against the team so unified. Although I think they would've won against them on penalties. We have something extraordinary with this team, they're even stronger as an unit than 4years ago and that's saying a lot when you know how team has changed and we don't have any of our best strikers. But we have other tricks now 😅

You are going to get a lot of subscribers from Croatia for this one. Statistics reveal so much, but it doesn't reveal the most important thing. Through the whole game we were controling the game, our midfield was far superior than Brazil's, they kept the ball all the time and the pressure towards Brazilians they did was excellent. Our attack in terms of goalscoring is lacking, two of our main strikers are from the domestic league, they have technical quality, but it is a huge difference of playing against croatian league players and playing the likes of Thiago Silva, Marquinhos etc. But what they did defensively was outstandig, always keeping the pressure on the defence. We know where our quallities are, in the midfield and defence, but that is the most important thing in these kind of tournaments.

...and rarely anyone is mentioning coach Zlatko Dalic. He is down to the earth, silent, honest, simple guy. Brilliant strategist. Whenever Croatia was playing bad he took the blame, always saying "It is my fault, I made a mistake" looking straight into the camera. Telling people in advance for the forthcoming games "We are not the team at the moment, we are not compact, locker room atmosphere is not good....", and on the other side highlighting the roles of his advisers and assistants whenever we won. His advisers are European Championship League winners, recently retired players. He never took credits for himself, was always "my team". I can't remember he ever made hallelujah moves. Always planned, surgically masking and exploiting opponent team limitations and mistakes, well aware of our team limitations. Smart Chess player. It took some time to realized the fact that we have to thrust this guy and let him do his job without heavy critics and fun's negative reaction. He silenced negative comments shortly with pitch results, including me as well in negative comments category.

I commented on few other channels before the game, especially on ESPN UK, that if Neymar plays Croatia wins. As great as Neymar was, and in Barca he was unstoppable, he`s a shell of himself. And he`s running without the ball is minimal. So I knew we will have one man more on the pitch. True, Brazilian coach helped a lot, but still... Croatia has the best midfield in this world cup. @@fguimara The way he moves on the field, his stats are down from Barca days. IN more games he looks disinterested. When Ronaldo was overweight he still looked engaged, not able but engaged. And Ronaldo is best forward ever for me. Neymar, he looks like he does not care most of the time. And it shows in the way he plays. When I say Ronaldo I mean R9 not CR7. Theres only one Ronaldo and CR7 is not it.

We scored a skilful goal with great play and teamwork. That’s what saved our game, not the penalties, Croatia are already better than Brazil at penalties. Research and practice makes all the difference with any kind of luck in penalties and Croatia are a team that practice them all the time. It’s so annoying when anyone says a team doesn’t deserve a win based on penalties… the teamwork that led to the goal they made to get to the penalties is why they deserved to win. We won the game by our last 3 minute goal and the teamwork, strategy and perseverance of our team. That’s why we deserved it. We FOUGHT.

The Brazil squad is the strongest in any team currently but Tite some how screwed tactically and also with the subs. Brazil was too slow on the final third definitely he didn't do his homework before the match Croatia was definitely controlled the mid and deserve the win but if they think can do the same against Argentina they could just the kiss the cup goodbye. Brazils First mistake was playing Rodygo instead of Martinelli second was holding the ball too long to let Croatians to regroup, third was bringing fred instead of Fabinho and park the bus instead of going forward after they scored. Croatia was and is really vulnerable against counter attacks and this what they did last world cup and get trashed by France. Let see how they would face Argentina who is quick on feet and loading the box faster than Brazil.
