Besides the pumpkin getting replaced by bats, the one thing that Rachel never got back or replaced after her nerfs was j2C cancels, it was the most fun move she has. Rachel is truly one of the most unique and broken characters in all of fighting games, it's hard to even properly describe the range of tools she has. Anyone new to BB will have no idea what she is doing and how she's not just flying all over the place but also pushing the opponent around.

Always love the Blazblue uploads! I wish I wasn’t so trash at the game, but I still enjoy getting beat down as Noel online or beating on the CPU in arcade mode. Definitely in the holy trinity of the most beautiful 2D fighting games. BBCF, 3rd Strike, and KOF XIII are all god tier as far as graphics go. They look better than any of the new “2D” fighters and it’s not even close. Don’t get me wrong SF6 and MK1 look awesome, but good sprite work will always reign supreme in my eyes.

Arcsys balanced all these top tiers like they meters were supposed to matter then just made they meters not matter. Get hit once? Sorry sweaty, Rach is blowing more wind than the prairie, Arakune's bringing back CT with one-touch curse, and Ada's acting like you were the one comboing Carl. Kokonoe gets reverse crossup instant overhead side-swap traps and full screen control with lingering-ass fireball but at least they're on a cooldown right?! A two second cooldown which regenerates in less time than the fireball lasts on screen! Gravitons? Tager's central gimmick except way stronger and she doesn't have to hit you? Screw it, let's give her twelve! And make them regenerate, why not? Ribcage? Dispel it any time, even mid combo without sacrificing damage, even when the actual barrier gauge is already empty! And have a combo-able command grab which restores that barrier just in case you accidentally put zero effort into managing that resource! The crazy stuff would be okay if it didn't last for the entire gat dang rebel. Unhinged rant over x.x

Isnt it more comparable to Marvel? That is a dead franchise that still has an extremely passionate solid following. In a way much more passionate than the following of mainstream fgs, because the communities tends to switch games like it was so trivial, like it was something they started to dislike at some point and were just enduring... Also they tend to feel bored easily if there's no new content or patches. Yet at this same moment there are people playing SSF2T on fightcade, a game that is about to complete 30 years and was never updated. So BB joined that league.

I know this is a contorversial hot take, but I think Rachel is overrated. Strong Character for sure, but not Top 5. Her neutral is imo not as strong as other characters, so she needs to take some risks before going into here win condition, which can cost her the game, as her defensive tools are not super powerful either, which granted are still quite strong considering her offensive abilities. Of course my opinion might stem from the fact, that I got a positive track record against that character, in a matchup that is supposed to be losing for me as a Kagura player ;) (I also do well against her with my scrubby Bang though)
