Great to see u back @Chase. As a travel enthusiast your channel is inspiring and I love your informative vlogs, hearing your experiences and personal insights to these places I’ve always wanted to visit. Even in your recent Japan vlog you shared how there’s no Heaters during the winter in particular schools and dress codes. That was very interesting! Wow 30 a night for that impressive Brazilian hotel suite! That’s a ridiculous deal, and I’ve seen luxury hotels in Thailand that go $200 USD a month that are very impressive. However, that particular Brazilian hotel suite and the views your staying at is by far more impressive. salute! 🤣

At first site, Brazilians are Caramel, Chocolate, & Vanilla in the color hues in contrast to Japan where everyone has the same skin tone. Americans stick out by being taller, darker, or lighter than the typical Japanese male. If you can conquer learning Portuguese, you will fit in better. The rent may be cheaper than in Japan or the U.S. but finding a job in your line of expertise in Brazil that will support your lifestyle will be interesting. Brazilian women are very beautiful. I'll stay tuned.
@CHASE888884 ай бұрын
@@squalli1297 You are totally correct. I feel like everybody in Brazil is more or less mixed with a minority on the European side and a minority closer to African learning the language is definitely something that has to be done. I’m realizing that if you don’t speak Portuguese, you’re not gonna get much done. lol

Another great video, I think your choice should be driven by where you can get the better career/earning opportunity then work backwards to see what you can afford rather than looking for the cheaper place. Unless you're planning to open your own business in Brazil I think you will struggle to get good paying jobs. I know a guy who loves to Brazil from the UK about 8 years ago and runs an English translation and training business, he also had rh advantage of being married to a Brazilian woman but it's an option for you to look into especially with your experience teaching English in Japan and running a school as well.

You make a lot of sense a lot of what your saying is true you need passive income to make it work local jobs won't work.

your JPN language skills might also be useful there, Japan's government encouraged large-scale emigration to Brazil in the early 20th century, especially in Sao Paulo. Portuguese is also classified as a simpler “Category 1” language by the Defense Language Institute (DLI) so it would be about 3X easier than learning Japanese for the native English speaker

If brazil was more like japan would you have stayed there? Also if you lived like a king in japan, would you still be looking for a place to fit in? From my understanding you seem to be well-off, but disliking that you stand out and maybe dont like certain things about japan and are looking for a change. I mean you spent quite a while there so it makes sense you might want a change. (May be wrong about some assumptions)
@CHASE888884 ай бұрын
I'm not sure I'm well off but I get by, I've outgrown Japan if I'm definitely looking for a change I need it Japan is good to a certain point but definitely not the best in the world not the most comfortable. So I hope to find something better.

First impressions are important, but what is the long term assessment of Brazil's societal attitudes of the lines between the Afro-Brazialians and the "Colonial" Brazilians ( like Argentina, the D.R. 🇩🇴 ) from day-to-day? Finding peace within yourself is accessible regardless of location, it's important with WHO you are allowing your time and focus with.
