After torrential rainstorms in Rio Grande do Sul they have to tackle the situation that the flood has been wreaking havoc. There are thousands of people displaced from their homes, but we are together sending food, water, medicines, cleaning materials and clothing to them. Regrettably, many families have suffered losses of loved ones, pets, homes, shops, factories, farms, crops, and more. Entire small cities with populations of 20,000 to 30,000 residents have been entirely wiped out. These communities were ill-prepared for this massive disaster, receiving evacuation warnings too late. We have an ineffective government that heavily focuses on collecting taxes for personal gain. In times of crisis, their response and actions are delayed, fortunately there are proactive individuals who successfully rescue and provide refuge for those in need.
