Randy use to be my neighbor on Bennett rd. As a kid he would always do Wheelie up our big hill. He also had a side cart for his dog one one of his bikes. We idealized him

Randy Mamola was very loved in Goiânia. From 1987 to 1989 he was very successful in Brazil, especially among us Goians. We would really appreciate it if he visited the city again, as he has never been forgotten here. Who knows, maybe at a Stock Car stage he will give us this gift 😊😊

Randy was a hell of a rider and should have at least two world titles. He and Schwantz were very similar....they were fast but made too many little mistakes that caused too many crashes. . Schwantz won 6 races in 1989 but also had 6 DNF's.

That look back must have caused him to get off balance or tweak the front wheel enough to make it lose rear grip. His save at the 1985 San Marino GP was unbelievable.

Grande mamola, mi padre decia que era el mc enroe de las motos, puro espectaculo. Freddie spencer mas profesional y controlado, otro genio. La mayor salvada de este señor es del 85,creo que en San Marino. Desafiando la fisica endereza la moto a unos 200 kph

He was looking back to see if there was oil on the tarmac. The slide came too soon in this case. But in looking back he shifted his weight too far and it unsettled the Cagiva.
