Hi Emma, Only recently realised you had you tube channel so just catching up on some of your old fights. You still get views and comments so here's my two cents on this one. Great win congrats .👏 People say mismatch but they don't realise you were same age weight and belt grade. So you did well. Love your swashbuckling attacking style as opposed to just being a guard puller. Boy had good defence. You couldn't complete the armbar attempt. He did make a mistake showing his back but you still had to work to take advantage. He held for a while and maybe ref or his team should have stopped it but in the end he had the good sense to tap. Always better to live to fight another day I say. But well done both of you good show.

@@emmabauknight7730 Hi Emma, Thanks for replying. Yes it takes guts just to step on the mat. Only a certain type of person can do it. You never know who or what you might meet. Some of the parents behaviour when their son loses to a girl is unbelievable. The boys are usually okay about it. Top gun is top gun don't matter if it's a girl. They're not worried it's the parents. @seanaguayo Жыл бұрын
@@emmabauknight7730 nice. There's a couple ways to fight that, sometimes if you can't get under the neck you can just cross face them, meaning your forearm will be against their mouth. If you have a good grip, flex your arm muscles really tight, then rotate your arms backwards you will push your forearm into their chin, which can hurt, but can cause them to tap from the pressure or it'll make them lift their arm up. There are some other techniques too, angling your thumb/hand a certain way to get under the chin, covering their mouth with your hand, pulling or pushing their head to the side, ask your professor about some of those ways and what's legal in the tournaments you will compete in. There are also Catch wrestling techniques that can lift the head, often those are brutal though but legal. Ask about those too or KZbin them. Porrada

In youth tournaments very often girls almost crush guys under their feet OMG She could really squeeze him
@fabriziofmr3 жыл бұрын
@Guiraud Isen I just watch a lot of fights. Not true that in KZbin you only find mixed fights in which the girl won. Sometimes guys win, and we usually tend to think they're stronger than girls in fight sports. But actually many girls are tough opponents, at least at this age. It's not about muscolar strength but more about flexibility and ability using legs and feet in ground fight. For example I don't think the guy in this video is weak or unskilled, but the girl was hurting and almost squeezing him.
@fabriziofmr3 жыл бұрын
@Guiraud Isen I wasn't answering you when I wrote that's not about muscular strength. I just tell that guys are usually phisically stronger but a girl can beat a guy. But... which is the point of this argument? Yes, I know that the two gender are different. And definitely I'm not a male hater as you wrote in another comment (I'm male). How would you explain the girls winning against guys, like in this video?
@fabriziofmr3 жыл бұрын
@Guiraud Isen You're not the only one telling that on KZbin peoples show only mixed fight where girls won. But that's a bullshit. You can find a lot of videos from fight where the guy won. I just tell (as more than one pro coach has explained to me) that in teen age many girls (not all the girls) are stronger than males coed. That's not feminist propaganda...is what really happens in martial arts youth tournaments. And clearly that's not a rule, indeed you can see fights with a guy winning against a girl (no one hide it).
@fabriziofmr3 жыл бұрын
@Guiraud Isen I don't understand why you are so annoyed reading that young girls very often beats up guys in bjj (very often, not always). And that's confirmed by coaches that work with teenager. It looks like you feel offended or undervalue as male. But a girl stronger or more skilled than us is not a threat
@fabriziofmr3 жыл бұрын
@Guiraud Isen We was telling the same thing. Most experts believe it depends on puberty. Ok i generically talked about youth tournaments. And in adult age men and women don't fight each other (maybe they do it in training session but not in official fights) as in all sports. Actually I would be curious to see mixed fights between adults, I think some women could be competitive, but the most part of the times men would win.

What’s wrong with triangle holds?
@teller12903 жыл бұрын
@@barbaragordon429 honestly, I think on sites that show girls winning a lot or breaking even or better...it does seem to be the case that girls just wear boys out with the triangle more than the other two main submissions. I admit it does seem like either boys aren't as focused on that threat (since maybe their male opponents perhaps focus more on upper body techniques) OR girls focus on using triangles more knowing at 12-13 yrs old that their near future male opponents are going to start by benefitting more from "the change" and become stronger...and more so from waist up than waist down.

@@teller1290 technique rules at this age. If you come charging in and your opponent has the skills, it's probably not going to work out for you. Think Royce Gracie vs Ken shamrock.

He was obviously a novice. He had plenty of opportunities to escape and counter.

Seeing as at the time this was uploaded they were both 12, both grey belts and both had been in jiu jitsu for about a year, yes. They were both novices. He was stronger and she had a better skill set.

@@gregbauknight2372 interesting comment re his strength vs her skill set. I think that happens a lot in the boy girl matches.

The guy was put in a lose lose situation even, if he wins he still loses. Meaning as a man you"re expected to win, however if he loses he's humiliated.

If he wins he looks good.....what do you think these boys should take it easy on the girls ?.....They shouldn't mix sports anyway......I wouldn't want to see girls and boys on the same basketball team or soccer team either....Keep sports separate!!!!😃

Maybe 30 years ago. Girls and boys fight together now in wrestling and jiu jitsu all the time.

No way this is a fair fight. If the boy has any decency at all he will be self-conscious about touching her inappropriately. Even if the girl says its no big deal, it will still be a huge mental distraction for the boy.
