Grown two Brazilian Rain Trees and love these trees! Was so devastated when I lost my first one (my very first bonsai). Given the right conditions, they grow like weeds and are a bit of work to control but soo beautiful. Their habit of 'going to sleep' by folding in their leaves is so interesting to me. I'm doing my in a pretty typical upright style, simply because I am still very new and that seems like the most beginner friendly attempt. The style you have in mind for you're sounds SO interesting and cool! Can't wait to see the work on it in the future :).

Nigel Saunders, The Bonsai Zone it will thrive for sure outside when the weather breaks. They grow crazy fast!! Once you bring back indoors under artificial light it will most likely lose its leaves, but it’s ok. BRTs tend to do this, but they will be replaced shortly after with lush new growth. This is something I always mention to others when they get their first one so they don’t panic when it happens haha. Looking forward to seeing this one develop. The floor of the car scenery is quite reflective. May I suggest a matte, bokeh context? What modeller, what renderer did you use? Numerous notes on the car model itself come to mind, like e.g. the door gaps that are only visible below the horizontal bulge etc.pp., more subtle things like incomplete continuity of face curvature or the odd looks of the horizontal bulge extending to the front wheel arch, but then again: The model is a work in progress and will address those issues anyway.

Hi what are the effects of cutting a bit from the roots?
@TheBonsaiZone5 жыл бұрын
Every time you cut the roots, you will get more roots growing from around the cut point. The more fine root hairs on the root system, the more water and nutrients the tree can take in, so you get better growth. The large quantity of feeder roots can support a large canopy of leaves.Generally the roots should mirror the canopy.

The Brazilian Rain Tree (Chloroleucon Tortun/Chloroleucon Tenuiflorum/Chrloroleucon Dumosum) are one of the most used species for bonsais here in Brazil. The photos shown in this video look more like Enterolobiubns, wich are a very similar specie but much bigger then the Chloroleucons. Chloroleucons can reach abot 12 m high (40 ft high), Enterolobiuns, however, can reach 25 m high (65 to 70 ft). Chloroleucons ocour naturally at the southeastern brazilian cost, close to the sea. It can resist in sandy and salty soil but grow faster in bonsai soil composed by river sand, organic soil and red soil. This last one very common in Brasil and very good to prevent lack of iron for plant development, wich is a very common problem in Brazilian Rain Tress which can be identified by yellowed leafs.

"That'll teach you to bud out early..." I said the same thing to my willow, but we get only around -1C in march usually, so she'll be okay. I'm curious if now your larch will have tighter flush this year. Btw did your apple tree survive winter so far?

Yes, so far all is going well, I'll keep an eye out on the Larch buds and post an update when they are beginning to emerge!

Hey Nigel! Just a advice from a fellow brazilian bonsaist. This tree has some serious problems with die back. Always prune a branch when its already woody, otherwise you'll risk lose it... never expectate a green branch to sprout again when pruned

Thank you, very good to know, I love learning about a new tree!

Also, if you wanna know more about our trees, you should look the brazilian rain tree (pithecollobium tortum) cousin, the pithecollobium dumosum. Smaller leaves, really cool bark texture. Also, the Calliandras are really famous here, in special Calliandra Spinosa, with the crazy looking bark, caliandra brevipes, caliandra depauperata and the other ones... they are a really pretty flowering species!

Raphael Dutra de Léo hi, do you maybe know, where I could buy Brazilian rain tree seeds? thanks
@DiLeoDragon5 жыл бұрын
@@aljazmedved6665 you should try to look if there is any producer in your country, because here in Brazil we cannot export any seeds or plant since it breaks our laws

I just use turface and perlite mixed 50/50. I do sift the soil to remove the dust and finer particles. I get a finished size of 3 to 4 mm (1/8") Here is how I water and fertilize this soil.... kzbin.info/www/bejne/nYmseqOuitarmrs

@@TheBonsaiZone Thank you! I know you mentioned about it a lot in your previous videos but I thought it was more of it to DIY soil. But it sounds less complicated than I thought. I will give it a try.
