Though the years I have been able to save a lot of metal things that usually would get trashed.

Thanks for the demonstration! Should come in handy when I get ready to paint my old Wheel Horse hood. Previous owners have drilled some small holes to attach reflectors or marker lights or something.

Very useful video , these tips you give us here and there are essential to know/learn . even the pros who don't do a lot of O/A welding could bookmark these tip as visual references.

Brilliant, I did not know that I could also braze copper, so thanks for that. I was also wondering if I could use brass brazing to fill those pin holes that occur so often in MIG welding steel sheet metal. Brazing seems to spread out and fill small holes better and since the finished item will be painted I don't care so much about the raw metal look. Opinion?

George Goehl Hi George, all is well here. Keeping my social distance and staying healthy. What crazy times. It’s like a sci-fi move that we are calling life. Hopefully, it doesn’t interfere with your art sales! Stay well my friend 🙏🏻

hey George . how to braze a pipe or fitting to a hole in a cylinder or piece of metal ? how to do it from start to finish ?
@8974734 жыл бұрын
Tack braze the pipe into the cylinder. Tack braze at several different points. Before going further making sure it is straight or at the desired angle. Then start brazing all around. If it is a large pipe, then you may need someone to turn the piece so that you can get a uniform braze. This takes some practice. Not sure if this is what you were referring to.

@@897473 Hi George, I tried the steps you gave me to braze a pipe to a piece of steel and I found it very easy especially when i started with tack braze the pieces together then braze it all around. Thanks.

Wouldn't it be better to cut a metal circle and then braze two pieces together?
@8974734 жыл бұрын
Filling that circle was in answer to a question, " how to fill a hole without a backing". The person already had the hole.
