My wife passed away in 2011 from breast cancer. We were married for 18 yrs and she was only 39 when she passed, At her funeral, this was her song to me. she told me this is how I made her feel. As sweet as it was I never cried so hard in my life that day. I swore I would never listen to this song again and here I am listening because I am a follower of yours brother. That song came out in 1971 and I was a junior in high school. I vividly remember slow dancing to this song with a girl who was my classmate and first real crush. Well, life got in the way and we went off in different directions after graduation to find out what the world had in store for both of us. We lost touch somewhere along the way and I heard thru mutual friends a few years ago that she had died of cancer. I cried then like I’m crying now. Only difference is that this time I’m smiling as well as I remember that night long ago when this song played and everything was perfect. Thanks for keeping the tunes going. Take care.

I had this song played at my wedding. When I was a kid in the 70's I helped my father, who was a wedding photographer, so I grew up associating this with wedding songs. My late husband was 14 years older than me so this song was from his generation so it worked for both of us. I haven't heard it in a while, thanks for the great memories.

David Gates was such a talented individual. He wrote, arranged and performed so many beautiful hit songs with Bread and as a solo artist. Those songs were a very important part of my youth. They brings back such warm memories of a much simpler times.

Loved the band, loved their songs. I've listened to their albums so many times and I never cease to fall in love all over again
