God knows what you need before you do and has it coming your way. I was running out of groceries several days before my paycheck , I needed about $25 dollars worth of food and thought I was going to have to borrow some money from my dad. I got the children off to school went to work, came home for lunch hour checked my mail, there was a 25$ refund check from house insurance. I cashed it and got the groceries I needed. My Heavenly Father has it on the way , just in time. God is Awesome 🤗💕

Hi Sister in the faith. I just became born again. I wasn't expecting it, It just happened. Thursday I spent the day reading the book of Matthew. I felt very different. So on Friday I did it again. The book of Matthew. I felt like I was transformed, an I realized I was born again, I never knew what people ment when they said born again. Now I know.💕 The only thing now is I don't have any one To talk to about it. I went on KZbin and an clicked on to this bread recipe, I had no idea you were going talk about Jesus, I knew right away God sent me here for a reason. I almost cried. I would love to talk to you. Love the bread, love the faith. For many years our family seemed to struggle with money due to medical issues and inability to work. In recent times we have returned to church and aim to tithe 10%. Now since we donate more money than ever, we have more money left in our budget and a blessing of great abundance. Others have said the same happens to them. God is good, God is faithful. Thanks!

Fear not too much, plenty flipping crazy things have happened all during times in this world. We do not know as we did not suffer in other times so we do not know and we do not feel the pain and sufferings of other times, To most people, times are good most of the time but we are a little greedy, we want more, we are never satisfied so we complain when most of time we should be very grateful for what we have got. This is all I have to say on this matter for now I am off to bed, good night all

I love your channel! I grew up a Missouri farm girl and my daddy was a "country boy" whose folks were sharecroppers. Your sweet voice and spirit remind me of my dad. I wanted to share that I had a real miracle happen to my family recently. My daughter has been trying to get pregnant for a long time (she got married in 2016) but was told her husband couldn't father children because he had not only been through Stage 4 Lymphoma in 2020 but was previously "kicked off" the donor list for a kidney transplant, so the poor guy went through both chemo and dialysis at the same time! He not only beat cancer, but in January of 2022, he finally got his transplant. Still, they didn't hold out much hope that his fertility had improved after all his many health problems. So you can only imagine how thrilled and shocked I was when they told me in August that my daughter was pregnant and due in April! We've lost so many family members, her dad in 2012 when she was only 25, my dad, mom, and brother, and Katrina's other grandparents have passed. Even my cousin, who was only a year older than me and like a sister passed away last February. So, I told her, she has all her angels, pulling for her! She has worked with kids with autism for years and has wanted to be a mom for so long! It's such a blessing, I truly thank God every day!

I am so glad I found this channel you are a blessing more than you may know. In these troubled times, we can' t be sure that things like bread will be at the store even if you can get there, this was proven with the pandemic. You are sharing the lost art of cooking the was my grandmother cooked. They did not have a grocery store just down the stree, it was an all day trip to go to town in the wagon . The simple recipes you make use a minimum of ingredients that most folks already have on hand in the kitchen, (even if you are only a weekend cook) and the way things are in the world now, it seems more possible there may come again the time when we have to relearn the lesson that "Less is More" I also love the fact that most of your recipes usually can be made quickly. I love that and I love watching you. You seem like you would be such a lovely person to know and be friends with on a personal level. You seem very soft spoken, mild mannered and friendly. And you show a genuine love for God and family, and that is a treasure . Keep doing what you do and I plan to keep watching and trying out the recipes!!! May God's love and blessings abound you!!!!!

He made it for us as a Sunday afternoon treat. Mom, my brothers and I gathered around the kitchen table eager to eat the yummy treat! We ate it warm with butter, cinnamon, jelly or apple butter. Yum! I just made these!!! I made 16 of them. Buscuits just like in the video. So good and soft. Turned out perfect. I used unsalted butter, whole milk and king arthur self rising flour. I found a lid for a cast iron pan and cooked them. Did 5 mins each side. The dough is sticky like she said, I used a small amount of flour on a plate to form the dough I cut it into pieces and formed small rolls like in the video I preheated the pan and put butter on the bottom with a stick of butter and put the dough in. They turned out great. My mom said they taste and look just like the ones my grandma made. She took some to my grandma to go with her dinner she said the smelled great and were warm still. I hope she enjoyed them! I'm very happy I could make these for my family. My kids love them too! I put peach preserve and softened butter on mines. I plan on having a coldcut sandwich with them soon and using them for burgers as well and hotdogs. Yum! I'll try to make a whole two pieces next time instead of 8. Just to be able to cut into it. Love these thank you!!!! 😊 Edit: I am on my second 5lb bag of flour. Lol used one up in a week making these. So good. I love them. Dinner, breakfast and lunch you can eat them anytime even for a snack. I'm on my second bag of flour. They are so good. The lid I used for the cast iron pan is mismatched it works but it is not ancast iron pan lid. So if you haven't already go ahead and give them a try. My family loves them. I put peach preserves and butter on mines. That's how I eat them. They are so good. Tastes exactly like a cross between white bread and a buscuit. Not one or the other but both. Super tasty. I will warn you ahead, you can't eat just one. Lol ❤️ thanks for this great old fashioned recipe.

What a sweet comment. My mouth was watering. Self rising flour makes a superior biscuit and King Arthur's SRF is second to none not even White Lily which I grew up using. I had KZbin cook try to tell me that using self rising flour is just "a regional preference" and makes no difference. She really got testy. Southerns know better. Since you like using butter, you can use your skills to make scones if you ever want to branch out for fun. A scone is just a biscuit made with butter. Have you ever made them?

If you are jewish you believe in the same Yahwe as we christians do. We agree to the same scriptures until the birth of Jesus Christ, Jeshuah Hamashia(phonetic, forgive me, i dont speak hebrew). Amazing, those events started our time calender. It is almost 2000 years since Jeshuah died on the cross, by the the hand of selfrighteous and selfish , mainly of the ruling priest class. If you would care to read the new testament, the scriptures written by the students and followers to His word, you might have it easier to find faith in the truth. After the grave Hamashuah rose, left the grave and ...go read yourself the Word of God ! ☝️🙏🙌🔥 I grew up my best friends was a jewish family. I was down to my last dime after weather caused repeated repairs to my home, one thing after the other. First cut is always food, right? I had nothing but coffee and crackers. A young lady at work was trying out the entire Asian food menu, a new place across the street. She ate about half of the generous portions and gave the rest to me everyday. She had no idea that I was near starving and flat broke, no one knew. We never shared lunches or anything like that. That's how I was blessed for over a month. Indeed, God knows our needs.

In Australia, this kind of bread is known as "damper". It was often cooked by drovers as they drove sheep or cattle from farms to sales yards or abbatoirs, because the ingredients were durable when there was no refrigeration. They usually added a pinch of salt as well. It was usually cooked in the ashes after a fire had died down a little and, if there was no pan, they wrapped the dough around a stick and cooked that in the ashes. My wife and I and our four children were on a camping holiday at Wombeyan Caves in central western NSW. Because it is also popular with day visitors, there is a small shop there, so we presumed we would be able to buy a packaged cake to celebrate our youngest daughter's fourth birthday. Sadly, they didn't have anything like that. so my wife asked if they had flour, which they didn't. We didn't really want to take the long and winding 80 km drive (50 miles) to town and leave our camping equipment behind unguarded. But the woman at the shop asked what it was for, and my wife explained, so the woman said she was getting supplies and would bring her back what was needed. That night Hannah celebrated her birthday with buttered damper made with added dried fruit, and the woman at the shop gave us some party candles for decoration (which we returned in the morning.) 40 years later, the children still talk about it. I appreciated your sharing of God's goodness. It is like those two way drawings: once you see it, you can't unsee it.

Even though my husband saw to it that she got one after we started progressing, she rarely used it. She was constantly cooking on top of the stove, though. She made tamales de chipilín (a green leaf growing on a stem) for me and that is still my favorite type of tamale. She had been Roman Catholic, paid somebody to pray for her, but accepted Jesus as Savior and Lord before she died, as did many of her family members. One of her daughters, the youngest, who now lives near Barcelona, is called “pastora” at her church there. Please pray for my husband, the oldest of her sons and Patriarch of the extended family, and for our son to accept Jesus as their Savior and Lord. I’d be much obliged.

No one can bake out here in the bush". My wife and I just smiled and let them go on their way. That was a delicious pie. Not much you can't bake with a cast iron pan and a lid. God bless you.

And a man stood up, looked about the wilderness, face the interlopers, and said in a tonous voice " You, Indeed. lack Belief " then disappeared as the breeze blew through the wild vegetation.

You just have to be STRONG enough to lug the CAST IRON pan with you or... bring along someone who CAN! LOL (Definitely worth it for the LUGGER for the reward which the LUGGEE will prepare with it!).

@@phredphlintstone6455 all depends on how big you go. I have them from single egg size up to full camp pot with metal pole hanger setup. Large one is probably 20-30 lb empty with lid

Thank you so much for your great teaching and recipe! My bread was delicious! I used a cast iron Dutch oven and I used melted butter instead of oil!❤❤❤

Just made this. Delicious! Didn’t have some things so used: 2 cups flour; 1/4 olive oil; 1 cup kefir; 1 1/2 tsp baking powder; 1/2 tsp salt. Heated my casserole Dutch oven and baked both sides. Took longer than 5 minutes on each side. Anyway, it came out great; lots of good flavor! Thank you for this!

At the moment, an oven is way too expensive for me, in the same way, I can't spend a lot of money in food... That recipe is perfect to me, super cheap and simple ingredients and it is without any chemicals or other stuff ! Your channel is a huge discover, I think it will be very precious to look at your older recipes. Of course, I subscribed ! Kind regards from Southern France

Well white flour is bleached… however you could buy stone ground or other type of grain. I’m sure they would work

While this may not be new to you and others like you, with a similar background, it really is new to some of us. I always thought biscuits were made in an oven only. Thanks for the education.
