22 of your videos today. Copied down a bunch of recipes, cut holes in a shovel, made 4 trivets, split some red and white dry oak. Tomorrow is my birthday, and my wife asked what i wanted her to make me for dinner...I said I'm makin' Kent and Shannon's bread pudding with whiskey sauce. There was a pause in the conversation right then...had to explain what i had been doing all day...then she was OK with it. LOL Thank you both for all you have done together. It's a beautiful deal. God Bless. Steve

Cowboy Kent and Mrs. Shannon! OH MY Goodness🎉 This truly is the BEST bread pudding I ever ate! Oh and that Whiskey Cream Sauce! Words do not describe.😅 It would be good on an old flip flop😅!I'm not a big whiskey drinker so I used it like I would vanilla maybe a little more. But you definitly need it! The sugar cuts alot of the harshness of whiskey, if you think you won't like it. DONT LEAVE IT OUT. Thank you for your show. Love all that you do and what you Stand for! ❤ Give the pups a little lov'in from this Arkansas lady❤

This is such a good desert. We made it last night in a 10in dutch oven and came our perfect. We are camping this weekend and shared with our neighbors. Randy went in their trailer to get forks an his son started to eat with his fingers. Yes folks it is that good. God bless you and yours.

Kent, I used this recipe to make my first dessert dish ever! And I'm 45 years old and have always wanted to make a dessert. Inspiring! I loved the hamburger buns and the second time I tried it, I used Hawaiian Bread hamburger buns. That really gave this recipe a surprising result. I cut the sugar back with the Hawaiian Bread, but the sweet flavor was still there! I bought your cookbook and will be running through your entire menu! Your videos are fun, and you've inspired me to have a good time cooking again! Thanks for your generosity in sharing and teaching us through your videos! From your neighbor down in Houston, Texas, Brian

I just made this. And it turned out great. Now like always I changed a few things but not much. First I don't like Crown Royal, so I used the only whiskey I drink that is Jack Daniel's. Also I don't have a cast iron dutch oven. But mine turned out great. I was a little worried the bread was crumbled up to much, but I just followed Mrs. Shannon's advise and it was okay. Thank you both for this recipe. It was so easy to do.

I haven't made this one, but I made one from a 1790 recipe. The bread I used was a loaf of wheat bread I had made in my Dutch oven (bread pan inside the Dutch oven, and coals only around the outside). The bread turned out a little dry, the family didn't want to eat it. Rather than waste it, I used it for bread pudding, and it turned out great. I baked the pudding in a cast iron skillet and used honey as a topping. Whisky sauce is for haggis!
