So glad I didn't buy one in 2014 when they pulled our route from us . After 24 years and 3 different companies of company routes I retired. What a headache for awhile we even had taky chips for Kroger. No restaurants and schoolsbecause Sara Lee quit them all. Just sara Lee no Arnold and Thomas no entemans still made 60 a year. With all the expenses and headaches no vacation or sick time gas ins and truck. Might as well buy a subway

I wish would’ve stayed in college like my parents warned me about. My Dad owned the biggest route in Roanoke Virginia for decades but he didn’t have a high school diploma so he would say all the time he wouldn’t be making the money that he was anywhere else. Stay in school kids! Trust me!

Aye bro. Really love your videos. Very informative. Was gonna ask. So you can be allowed to have someone help you on your route. Like say if I take my pops with me. They won’t get me in trouble? Debating if to or not to buy a route
@javybavy3 жыл бұрын
No there wouldn't be a problem at all with your father helping you. They really cant tell you how to run your route. I will tell you tho this job is really physically demanding. If I was you I wouldn't depend on them helping you. Try to see if it something you can do alone. Because you father will probably get tired really quick. I now from personal experience.

This is something I’ve been researching for a few weeks now, I just haven’t been able to find out one thin… If I had a route with say 5 stops, how do I get more? Will Mission Food have a list already made out for drivers upon request or am I going to have to shop around on my own? How would I build more accounts, from 5 to 10 or 15?
@javybavy2 жыл бұрын
For bimbo we can go into any place ie, convenient store, grocery store, restaurant , jail, school, retirement home and so on as long as they are in our territory we can go in there and ask if we can service them. Most places already have their vendors in place and wouldn't let someone else come in but if you're a good salesman you can do it.

@albertramirez53903 жыл бұрын
@@javybavy No, union basically screwed us and told us to vote yes on the contract because we were going to lose, it's been about 8 years and we have a high turn over rate now because of it. Guys would rather run relief then get a route because they make more money doing relief. The nature harvest drivers out here are still independent but it's looking like bimbo will buy them out and make them all company routes. They took away the Takis from them last year and have it to the bimbo routes.
