There's so much detail in this, from the locket that Phil had to the expression on the horse. I love how we see more of the souls perspective, how they don't want to turn Eryn. They all want to get him out, but we can see they all have green shackles, adding more onto the idea that they are all prisoners to Dream and have to obey him. I absolutely adore this animatic, this AU, and your art!!! So happy that I found you when I did because now I get to stay up to date with all of your incredible animatics and chapters published. Easily one of my most favourite AU's for this fandom, great job!!!!

This episode has given us insight on certain aspects. First; the souls of those turned don't want to turn others like Eryn but they are all bounded to Dream, who controls their physical bodies probably due to that book of his. Second; the fact that Dream can actually reach out to Eryn's dreams along with the souls means that the injury he suffered from has formed a connection with Dream. That's actually useful because even IF the person escapes from the cursed forest, Dream can STILL attempt to control them and force the infected person back to the forest against their will. That explains why Ranboo returned after escaping nine years ago, he was cut by Fundy and Dream could haunt his dreams in an attempt to bring him back. Proof of this is the fact that Ranboo is a Sleepwalking Case, which can be explained as Dream controlling his body and attempting to bring Ranboo back to him (which worked as no monsters attacked the sleepwalking Ranboo, who came to Dream's arms). This also means that Eryn and CPK, both of whom were hurt while escaping, are infected and no doubt Dream is reaching out to them to bring them back. Third; that unknown monster we keep seeing, I think that monster is Eryn when he is turned. CPK probably sees his own monster form if he were to turn as well. All in all, a wonderful AU and one of my top favorites in the Fandom (which isn't a lot, mind you, since I don't keep a constant eye on the fandom).

AuGh it’s so good. Eryn being one of the lucky few who come to understand the true nature of the town and live to tell the tale. But for how long? The Mumza motif tho makes me think that her role in this story might not be over yet… And I get that dream is the whole kinda antagonist of this but I think the underlying theme here is “I was forced into shackles and let to rot while no one cared. Now those who come to me will share the same fate. I won’t be alone forever anymore”. For one, almost all of these cases are chalked up to insanity or just another missing persons. It’s almost like they drop off the face of the planet. Just like how no one cared about dream when he rotted away, no one ever finds out what happens to these people. Nobody who lives long, anyway. And in reality, Dream is chained here as much as any of them are. He died bitter and alone but manifesting something like this to happen… well I imagine it felt good for the first 3-4 people but after that, we’ll it just became innocent people who had nothing do to with the town and were just delt the wrong hand by fate. Sorry psychoanalysing all this shiz got me pumped

Dream in this AU is very sadistic, and most of the characters were in chains (Except Eryn), and they doctors thought he was just a irresponsible teenager. Who wouldn't think that? I am absolutely loving the physiological horror here, Especially at the end when Eryn sees his monster in the reflection clawing at the frame. It really just cements how terrifying this experience is, seeing that the monsters were once good people and what little remains of them are trying to help him escape, seeing his friends changed into creatures who’s mere existence seems to be tortuous, and especially at the end when he finally gets the full picture of his fate. Of what will happen to him if he fails to fight dream’s influence just one time. OOH MAN CHILLS!! Fantastic job!!

Wow this is so amazing, as always :) I just read Techno and Philza's chapter on AO3 before watching this, so Phil holding his pendant and crying, with the chain around his neck... And Sam showing Eryn the exit, they just want him to escape Dream, also the fact that the last ones he saw were Tommy and Tubbo... just wow, sorry that doesn't make much sense, but everything is just amazing. All the details just stabbed through my heart more, especially after Techno and Phil's chapter, that one just straight up made me cry, those two are my favourite Dream SMP characters (even KZbinrs/streamers) and the amount of emotions that Kristin's presence in the story involved, it was just incredible, I can't really describe it with words. I'm looking forward to your chapters every day, and your animations are really amazing :)

Okay just watched the animatic (which was so fricken cool!) Time for the little details: - I LOVE- how every monster showing up on screen in the background shows how they got captured/turned which is such a good idea and I luv the detail - the souls, THE FRICKEN SOULS OF THE VICTIMS ARE ACTUALLY WANTING ERYN TO ESCAPE DREAM'S TORMENT- THEY ALL HAVE FRICKEN CHAINS ON THEM, MEANING THEY'RE ALL TRAPPED IN THIS ENTERNAL LIMBO - Hannah's part, the idea you made with the "help me" with her saying it, that was so fricken sad to see and hear her saying it- begging to be let loose from her enternal limbo - Eryn getting tormented, due to his bite he is seeing these all (I think he has a connection to the souls now as he sees through the monster to see the trapped victim in it) and the fact that he can see his monster tormenting him as well, wanting to get out and go to the forest - okay so whenever Eryn is green eye that's when Dream started to torment him, showing him hallucinations of the monsters wanting him to join them and showing his monster as well Okay now let's talk about the background characters CPK: We get to see CPK in one scene and he seems to be holding his wrist? Why? And he looked back and seem scared when aimsey pops up on the scene (maybe he was thinking smt and aimsey surprised him?) And then mumza, FRICKEN KRISTIN THE GIRLBOSS HERSELF She was wearing the famous hat and holding onto a silver locket, as we know the silver locket means for the two of them to hold on each other while they're away (With Philza having mumza's pic in his while Kristin has her husband's pic on her) But what was she doing here? Where is she? She's still alive And then philza, PHILZA HOLDING ONTO HIS LOCKET I have no theory yet of what will happen but I shall soon

The detail when the monsters show up and their story of becoming one plays behind them is so freaking awesome dude, I love when Phil had the locket with mother in it it made my heart sad that he may not be able to find her again seeing as now he is a crow monster (I forgor it’s name) and is unable to leave the forest/town to see her again! Now we just have to see what happens to eryn in episode 6 (will he escape from the green teletubie or get caught and turned into a new monster)
