You know, I've long wondered how they got the tone on the intro in this song. Figures it's primarily a keyboard/organ and an overdriven mic preamp. People forget about these little tricks these days and this is one advantage of tubes over solid state. You can do this quite smoothly on a tube amp. On solid state, to me anyway, it tends to sound a bit harsher and less pleasant.
