Break Par Jameson Links | Portmarnock Resort Part 1

Just outside Dublin we have some of the best links land that Ireland has to offer and in todays video we are visiting the Portmarnock Resort to play the stunning Jameson Links for our Break Par series.
Myself (Dan Hendriksen) and Lester Barnes will be taking on this mighty links course to see what the best score we can shoot on this given day. We have a bit of a breeze today which makes me think the par for that given day would be around 2 to 3 over the course par, sit back and enjoy the first 6 holes.

Loved it Dan. Never understood 4 wedges I always go 3 to leave more room at the top of the bag. Any course vlogs are fun but are we going to get Joe or Gilly back soon always enjoy watching those two crazy cats

Texas courses are like links golf, so dusty dry approaches, easier to Putt as a chip, hence Texas wedge

Having played all over the world, and my home course is a seaside downland course, i just do not get the love of Links golf. Courses look bland, every hole is the same, i find them boring and the weather invariably is awful. There are so many wonderful inland and sea abutting golf course’s, that aren’t links. My favourite course, is Leopard Creak, the views and course are unrivalled. Lived in Ireland briefly and played many of their famous links, didn’t enjoy a single one of them, always playable condition, just bland. I must be odd, as all my Pals love Links golf and are envious of my luck to have played so many great courses, when i say I don’t enjoy links golf, they pull faces in despair.

You can get therapy for "Take That" syndrome these days. The treatment is quite expensive as it has proved to cause some deep rooted psychological problems.

There are approx. 2,500 golf courses in the Uk, there are approx. 280 links courses in the Uk ie approx. 11% of courses are links courses. You want to increase your subscriber numbers and yet on that basis 89% of us likely don't play links. Personally I am completely fed up with all your vlogs being links courses. There was an excuse when the weather was poor but we have turned that corner so give NON links a go.

@@wittersuk I have been a subscriber from day one and have watched every vlog. I would suggest that if the variety of vlogs was representative of the courses available and in proportion to the likely subscriber type of course played then instead of 90% vlogs being links course vlogs the reverse would be true.
