Gallagher provides way too much to the team like reducing toughness after Firefly adds fire weakness (since he’s also fire), SP positivity, healing to mitigate HP drain, damage from super breaks since he scales off BE, cleanse at E2, and more break damage taken for the enemy from his Besotted debuff.

Firefly doesnt need lynx, i dont think lynx will keep up healing with firefly’s HP trading mechanics. Gallagher will be better as he has damage and he can shred additional toughness bar as when firefly goes with her weakness implant, it allows gallagher to be useful too in breaking and damage added to his auto heal whenever firefly deals damage to enemies.

To be fair, there are multiple chars who could make use of it. Asta and Gallagher at the moment. It’ll be the bis for any fire break effect focused supports or healers/ shielder down the line too… or tbh, anyone you run with firefly that was BE and speed (RM, heroic MC, etc) as they’re going to be hitting fire weakness a lot due to firefly. Also works well with silver wolf if she can implant fire weakness.

It's good for all those characters, since they're all Break based, but with the exception of Firefly (who has her own Super Break), they'd need HMC in order to get the full effect of the relics.

I think Super Break is too OP for another enabler rn. Stacking 2 Super Break (+ 1 if Boothill or FF) enablers might invalidate other archetypes.

True me too. Got Boothill and his LC. I have Ruan Mei E0S0 and planning to pull her E1. Firefly does seem tempting but just like you said, probably another harmony or even a Nihility that increases toughness damage received. For now, I will see what the future has in store for us.

As long as Hoyo doesn’t do that on both sides of MoC/PF/AS it doesn’t really matter. Unless you as diehard break player as lily. Break is a core game mechanic and I doubt Hoyo will get rid of it in such a way. Just sometimes there will be less break friendly MoC/Pf/As.

Luofu's big automaton can lock their own toughness, but you can break em early (may need RM & Galler if using FF)

@@izzuddin_ I think op talks about bosses like Sam. He is immune to weakness break in the begging of the fight. If hoyo makes more bosses like him, it’d be kinda cringe. Others, like Yanqing, Gorilla or Aurumaton can be broken relatively easily.

On the other hand, it’s impossible (for now) to get rid of Sam’s shield earlier than his second action. Edit: Argenti is worse than Geppie tho. That shield tower… Ew

​@@MakSim-wk4ui Firefly's skill regenerates 60% of her max energy. 60% of 240 is 144, so you need 1 skill + 96 energy to hit your next ult. The video shows her with 5 energy after her ultimate, which reduces that to 91. So in real terms Tingyun covers more than half that deficit.

im really really stuck on something rn. i have absolutely 0 relics for firefly (and materials but that doesn't really matter) since I was originally going to pull for jiaoqiu to make my acheron team very insane (because its honestly not done). But I realized I have a horrible second team, because the only other dps I have rn is jingliu IL ratio jingyuan and seele (and they're not very great anymore) so I am genuinely asking for an answer, should I pull firefly and risk losing jiaoqiu and not have a good acheron team. yes or no THANK U THANK U. (for context I have ruan mei and gallager built yes. i don't have silverwolf)

You're just one 5-star away from unlocking possibly the best team for the foreseeable future. Firefly + Trailblazer + Ruan Mei + Gallagher is an extremely bang-for-buck team, where only two 5-stars are required, and where the sustain (Gallagher) can hit as high as 100K damage on Super Break. Also not being required to farm for Crit substats on relics can be an enormous time-saver. Also, Jiaoqiu is still relatively far away, as he's most likely on the second half of the next patch. If you already have the Jades to guarantee Firefly right now, you will have the entirety of 2.3 and 2.4 to save for Jiaoqiu. Depending on how many Jades you already have, you could realistically obtain both.

She should be fine on her own. Ruan Mei is really good at making her and every other character better than they already are but she's not really needed.

Are you able to use SAM + Lynx with how SP-hungry they are? With how fast SAM is during the enhanced state, it seems like she will blow through lynx’s aggro boost uptime, forcing you to keep using Lynx skill on her if you want the aggro boost

@@zaxtonhong3958 honestly I don't get it either because 3 enhanced E + 1 normal E at trace lvl 10 will get you to 234/240 energy. Killing single mob or get hit once should be no problem. Gallagher offers more than just +10 energy. Even if you somehow failed to do both, increase FF SPD to 150+ before using her ult is also viable since it will allow FF to act four times during her ult.

Still, I'm believe Gallagher is better for FF, or even Huohuo if your FF at E1 (since her enhanced E no longer cost SP so u can spam Huohuo's E). Then again, FF's team basically are HMC and RM, the 4th member can be anyone really.

i think e1 is > than all. s1 rm is great for universal use ofc but strictly in a FF comp, rm lc doesn't contribute all that much. i think the actual general consesus for ppl who are all inning on ff is that E1 is better than her LC and if you go to E2 she's absurd. this isn't to downplay the LC though, it's still about 15-18% better than aeon but aeon performs so good that E1 and beyond actually have greater value.

@@sequel589 Ruan Mei is universally amazing. She upgrades your whole account. After that, E1 makes FF hit harder, and makes SP management no longer an issue. Certain comps even have Bronya there to give her more turns than Seele. Finally, while her sig is obviously good on her, it's really only good on her. It's not something as splashable as a lot of others, and the difference between S1 Sig and S5 Herta LC isn''t _too_ wide .
