Seriously, I just broke up with my British boyfriend. We had dated each other for a month. Everything flowed really smoothly, at least from my observations. He liked me and complimented me a lot, which made me feel great every time we met up. Plus, we had many in common. For example, we both have a great sense of dark humor and have the same favorite TV series, also we liked to go to museums and discuss each other's cultural backgrounds. Nothing seemed weird at that time and it was almost perfect. But last week he suddenly gave me a call, telling me he had a great time with me and really enjoyed hanging out together, but he seemed really busy and not to have space for our thing anymore. He would like to remain as friends btw us and sorry about my upset. To me, it was like a great shock, because everything happened without a sign. I am really distracted by his words but I have to respect what he has told me, whether it was bullshit or his genuine honest. I think it is interesting to see his words to break up with me exactly followed the fashion of Papa's videos today. Maybe there is some thumbs-up rule in British breaking-up culture:)

In the past when I wanted to break up with someone, I would pretend to be a pain in the neck so that my boyfriend wouldn't put up with me. I know it was a horrible thing to do but it really made the breakup so much easier when you didn't have to be the one who ended the relationship.
