I wish English was taught like this in school. After all this time, I still get confused and not know where to use them correctly. Also the classes weren't this engaging. So thanks Aly. I'm grateful. PS: Don't tell this to my school teacher

Having a real spontaneous conversation, that's quite difficult to realize which article should be used. How to choose them naturally, not memorizing all those cases of using them?
@user-uz4mh1iu7d
@user-uz4mh1iu7d 4 жыл бұрын
When you're talking to someone and not sure which article you should use just think about whether your collocutor knows about the thing you want to speak. If he doesn't know about it yet since you haven't introduced it then use A or AN. It's not a completely correct rule but in most cases, it works fine. Anyway practice makes perfect
@papateachme
@papateachme 4 жыл бұрын
This is a great question!!! When learning a language, remember that the rules are just references. Come back to them when u have questions, or have time to practice in your own time. The more practice u have, the more natural you'll sound in conversation. Hope that helps 🤘🤓❤️

Thanks Aly. The lesson I need, the lesson about articles and in relaxed and smooth approach. In general, when I approach to a native speaker I have those little ' particles ' on my mind , 'cause they are little but very important for the meaning of the word , especially when you need to drop them. Exp. a hair (just ! 1)/ black hair or my 'gut ' english (intuition): She has a curly hair. The next example is on the slippery slope, [ I red in the english (specific !) grammar ],... so it was made by tourist guide, after performance of the folklore dancers : " Would you give them a clap? When english tourists heard that they burst into laugh. She didn't know that she asked them to give them STD, instead : " Give them clap ! ". All the best Kerim

The most complicated thing for me has always been when NOT to use articles. And still it is. For example "I know, I can change reality". Native speakers told me that you don't need an article here, but I have a strict feeling, the reality is the only one, like the Universe. Cases like this are not very clear still.
