Car trouble is bad enough at the best of times. Worse when on an Overland #expedition and roughly 2000 miles from home. Yet we still managed to complete our crossing of the southern desert of Morocco.

Great stuff! My ol' ML320 only does 20mpg, on good roads, so with that load of kit, and off road it wouldn't do 16 to 18mpg and double the cost....

It is a Toyota Hilux and Mitsubishi Pajero.

I can't wait to go back also, hope you all made it back. Don't underestimate the marrocan mechanics, that turbo could been rebuild there cheap.

Same here! The Paj made it all the way home on about a litre of oil a day and had a shiny new upgrade turbo and other bits at home 😁

That looked like a fun trip!! What was the issue with the Pajero?

We loved it! It was letting dust through the filter thus knackered the turbo seals which passed a lot of oil into the intake 😳

@@JKoverland I'm confused, you seem impressed about the snorkle filter and clean air filter... but then say sand has got in to the intake (which the filters should be cleaning?) and worn the turbo seals?
