Glad you posted this. When I was guided to your channel a while back, I took the time to listen to your solo projects and was intrigued.

Happiness is transient, and as you get older it can bring about anxiety because it's transience is recognized. I have found taoism and stoicism useful in navigating that, and if there's a creative outlet for it even better

I’m going to order a copy! Recently upgraded my turntable to a direct drive, so it’s time to grab some new records.

Love the change of dynamics from song to songs, also that album cover could be a beer logo! There is beer that's called "bluebird bitter" was the name inspired by that beer?

Origins of the album title are discussed at length within the video. Thanks for the compliment !

The Mellotron on "Nothing out there" really shows your appreciation of King Crimson. It's uncanny even. Great album.

I love this album so much that, even though I have it on black vinyl, I just went and ordered one of the last copies on RED vinyl from Mark's Bandcamp!!!!!! Feeling inspired to learn some of these songs on guitar! (Can totally imagine a Blue Bird song book with that amazing cover art!).

Ironically Mark, Seasons of Mist were the first label we were looking at with Sacrilege BC, before you started Alchemy.

First, excellent album art. It's beautiful. I like the mellower songs. The heavy stuff, I don't know if it's a thing of me getting older, I'm kind of losing taste for a lot of the slow heavy sludgy music I used to like. It depends on my mood. Like if I'm at the gym, I have to be playing my German metal: Kreator, Destruction, Tankard. Otherwise, I find myself listening to Mozart for enjoyment. The points about the smart phones (stupid phones). I don't like any of it. It's invasive of privacy...all this tech is. Basically I deleted all my social media accounts. I ended all youtube channels I had where I had uploaded videos for years. I chose to leave all this social media. Not have my face anywhere online. I don't use my smart phone anymore for anything really. I'm considering my options for what I want to do about a phone: Landline, or some kind of de-googled phone (that's still up in the air). I'm not liking where our world of tech is going and I am distancing myself from that stuff and trying to keep things as simple as possible and maintain my right of privacy. I'm seeing that even the laptops are changing to where nothing you do on them is private. I'm backing up and considering how to navigate these issues. I'm really happy I left all the social media. It's helped me get a lot more done, be more focused, and brought me together more squarly with my actual reality; not getting caught up in virtual realities. Love your stuff Mark! Bless your soul brother! :)

Thanks for your thoughts. There's probably more than a few of us that feel this way.

I went through a period of similar thoughts, when I thought I should be happy with my relationship, and my life, and I wasn't at all. I'm glad creative people like yourselves have this built in desire to counter it that way. I've never satisfied my own level of what I thought was quality creativity, realized I wasn't good at it, and gave up. Imagine that I had to face my depressions without your outlet. You are advantaged, my friend.
