Amazing. I remember that cafe! I was in Margate so often in the 80’s, we’d get off the train head to Dalby’s, go back to the front for a walk around and then spend the rest of the day in Bembom Brothers aka Dreamland. Looping Star, the Mary Rose, scenic railway. How we kept those breakfasts down was a miracle! Happy days. Jolly Boys outing is my favourite episode of my favourite comedy of all time. Thanks DJ for bringing back those memories

The couple on the waltzers in the black and white Dreamland photo at 6:00 is my Mum and Dad, circa 1951. Our family, including my parents, didn't know of the photos existence until the summer of 2018 when it appeared on the wall outside Dreamland, just a few short months before my Mum died. I always enjoy your videos.

Steer well clear of poncy food, poncy coffee, and poncy prices. There’s plenty of iron in bacon eggs sausages, that keeps bloodstream supplied with plenty of oxygen to keep out Winter chills. Avo on toast……you must be joking. Spot on with the camera.

This is the most interesting of vlogs from the Magician DJ The way Darren demolished the Curry challenge,then this big brekkie should prove to be a cakewalk.. ile have a few bob he beats the record of 18.5 minutes.. This vlog had several nostalgic moments esp the old photo of 'Temp passe'... When times were fun and frollicking by the beach was common practise. Going back to the breakfast it looked first class. Cant go wrong when theres HP, TK, and Sarsons in a wooden basket on the table, and the sound of the seagulls reminded me of being back on Jersey, so this ditty gets a solid 10 from Thailand. Well Done DJ...

Another enjoyable video Darren, you said: The Jolly Boys outing in the 90's-episode was the 80's 😁 I also live in Kent between Dartford/Bexleyheath way-when I saw video you were in-in Greenwich as you know many of them TFL routes on buses/trains go outside of London like parts of Kent, Essex, Surrey, Hertfordshire! I have been to Margate/Ramsgate many many times over the years, since a small kid in the 80's! I know you live in London, I couldn't personally too many people in a rush and the cost of living there is way too much for what it is 🙄 The Dalby Cafe is one of the best I have ever been to, When was you last in Dartford/Bexleyheath mate??
@DarrenJohn2 жыл бұрын
The episode was aired 25th December 1989 - which is why I called it the 90's I love London - it's a special place Dartford for me, probably 10 years ago
@mikekaraoke2 жыл бұрын
@@DarrenJohn Yea I know I remember, I was 8 + a half when that episode aired! 25th of Dec 1989 is still obviously the 80's(got the 8 on the front) It is always one of the top best episodes ever in the 80's-it was on an 80's documentary late last year! And David Jason/Nicholas Lyndhurst was on that programme about memories making it and the it being in pop culture David Jason said when we recorded that episode in Margate in the 80's it was bloody freezing most days! And is said in 80's pop quizes a lot as well....etc 😁 As I said I don't mind London to visit, but couldn't live there personally! I work in Dartford, you should pop back down-how about Bexleyheath?? Looking fwd to your next video!
