This is the best way to cook in my opinion. Todays food isn't even close to what it was a long time ago. Eating better is harder to do with everything the agricultural and FDA has approved for food. Cast iron cookware sets are pretty rare to see being used These days. In all honesty I have a great set of cast iron. My set includes a Dutch oven several sizes of skillets and a griddle. I've recently purchased a pizza plate for the smoking grill I use. The cake cooker I own is a great and unique item that I have. The flavor of food cooked this way is the difference between a good meal and a great meal. I appreciate the way you represent the content and the practical way to use something that should not be forgotten. You don't have to be country folks to cook like this. You do have to enjoy great food and appreciate the care and techniques of the method of cooking with cast iron.❤ Loving the channel and the content the pure realistic authentic feel is like being home.

Well just how would some one in an apartment in the city cook like this
@rrouge1
@rrouge1 Жыл бұрын
@@chuckbailey6835 you can still cook in cast iron inside an apartment. Won’t get the same smokiness from cooking over a wood fire but cast iron is great to cook in even on an electric stove.

@@chuckbailey6835 if you have a place to park outside you can cook it in a bbq. Replacing the charcoal with wood is easy.

We always called this the “farmer’s breakfast” growing up. If we was working the fields all day we needed a hearty breakfast that would stick to our ribs for all day, unless we was having cat head biscuits and fresh hog sausage gravy. This is what we ate. Love your style you remind me of an old friend of mine that passed away a few years back he always wore bibs had a beard and cooked this way at deer camp every year. Just something about this style of cooking that makes food taste so good. Thanks for sharing.

Love the outdoor kitchen. Not a flashy "better home and garden" kitchen, just a normal primative practical kitchen. Much more relatable and interesting than those flashy magazine kitchens. 10X better in my opinion.
