As a 26 year old girl who LOVES her sleep but also works in a fast paced corporate/business job that requires me to basically live at the office, this recipe is for me coz it's so on the go!!

I didn’t have any cranberries, so what I did is I sautéed up some chopped apples in just a little bit of butter. SO GOOD!!!

Oh my goodness Laura they look AMAZING! Every fall to get locally sourced cranberries so I buy enough to preserve them (like you would jam) and make enough to last us until next fall. JUST today I was looking at them wondering what I should make with what 's left from the opened jar....YES! This is IT! TFS!

Making something like this, tweaked a bit of stuff. I added cream cheese and instead of cranberries I’m doing apples 🤙 can’t wait for them to come out the oven!

I'd think any pie filling would work. Cherry, blueberry etc. Even pumpkin pie.

Since she leaves most of the juices out, I think fresh berries like blueberries, strawberries, raspberries would work as well. Or even an apple cut into pieces. Maybe frozen fruit u can buy in the supermarket would work as well, but when they're chopped it might get too soggy maybe if u pour in too much juice. Where I live cranberry sauce is only served on new years and around christmas, and pie fillings aren't a thing either.

I love to cook but do not bake that much - why "unsalted" butter vs "salted" butter in some recipes? Thanks so much for sharing your love of food and your recipes with us!!!!!!!

A lot of the time theres more salt in salted butter than the recipe actually needs, baking soda and powder are salty too, which leads to an overall slightly salty baked good. This is especially importaint when making butter cream frosting, salted butter in frosting is not so tasty lol
