Here in India it's monsoon season and my family loves to eat aalu pakoras which is sliced potatoes dipped in a batter made by gram flour, water, chilli powder, salt and cumin seeds. We dip the potato slices into the batter and fry them in oil. Served with mint chutney and chai (regular tea)

I am from Bulgaria and in the fall we eat a type of Strudel made with crispy, buttery filo dough and cinnamon apple filling (or pumpkin). My grandma makes her delicious rolls with rosehip jelly and walnuts. Rosehip jelly is very common here, it's a bit tangy but also sweet, I have never had it homemade. Another popular fruit in the fall is quince. We make poached quince or quince pie. I would love to see you recreate one of these recipes with your delicious and sweet imagination. Lots of love

I don’t believe there are any popular Australian food traditions throughout autumn but I’m Italian and we enjoy all the things we’ve made during summer like the beautiful fresh sauce we make, homemade wine, olive oil etc. I think in autumn we’re all still soaking up the long sunny days and having bbq’s with our loved ones, drinking a cold one and dreading winter! I love cooking and eating this time of year especially and in the Spring because of the abundance of fresh and flavorful produce! I also think Fall means like pot roast and root vegetables. Oh and soups, I start making and freezing soups, so easy and fun! Yes, I love pumpkin stuff too but Fall cooking is using my oven and stove a lot more than in the summer. Consisting of pieces of mutton with bone, cabbage, whole black pepper and often a little wheat flour, cooked for several hours in a casserole, traditionally served with potatoes boiled in their jackets. The dish is typically prepared in early autumn.
