Like your vid, nice to see green grass and cows, I know it doesn’t pay the feed bill but farming in good country with pheasants etc does everybody good who views your vlogs. Nice to see also that you were able to take your wife out so many get stuck behind the farm door.

There were some farms in N Devon in my youth with 12 milkers, a few steers, a few sheep, milk round and seemed to support the family. Not now, sometime wonder where it all went wrong!

There’s only one farm in my area that is still milking now when there used to be twenty plus and it’s a shame really because I always had releaf milking work but now I just had to go semi retired.

Do you always shift the fence over like that? I shift mine differently so it's just once there and back across the field. This weather is fantastic for this time of year but my cows are in full time and have been for a few weeks. I did put them out again for two days but the milk yeild dropped. So lots of young stock and dry cows out instead

I didn't really show how i moved it properly. I too only walk up and back once. Our cows probably have another 5 days or so of grass left in the fields. Its been so dry here that im happy to keep them out as long as i can. I don't think we're down enough milk here to worry about
