The traditional American breakfast is similar to a full English. Eggs, toast, bacon, often with hash browns or fried potatoes of some sort. Bacon might be substituted with ham or sausage. Pancakes might be subbed for toast. Most people don't eat it anymore. Maybe on a weekend or in a diner. Biscuits and gravy is a southern thing, but you'll find it in greasy spoon cafes more or less everywhere in the US.

Part of the reason people eat a full English breakfast on a weekend is you're gonna need time to digest all of it, also it replenishes all that energy you lose working during the week, it's like refilling the gas tank. One of the best tips ever given to me was that if you are getting a cold or the flu, eat a big meal like this while you are still able and that gives your body max reserves to fight the infection, it boosts your immune system.

You didn’t really show how you did the sauce hollandaise. Did you cook it over very low heat and such??? It looks like you just put whisked cold egg yolk with lemon juice (not even fresh one) over the untoasted muffin - yuk!!!
@bonniehowell92063 жыл бұрын
True. You have to be very careful making hollandaise sauce so it doesn't separate.

Oh honey, runny yolk is so easy. I have faith! Most ppl can do it if you, practice, have a good teacher and/ or really wanna do it.

Ive always wanted to try the blood sausage I got a feeling it would taste like liver... Right??
@joncollins77304 жыл бұрын
I haven't eaten liver in probably about 30 years and even then I was forced to. Trust me, black pudding is not like it at all.
@jgon124 жыл бұрын
Kinda yea if know how iron taste then it's like that.
@charlicks88084 жыл бұрын
No it doesn't taste like liver at all. It can be super delicious if you get good quality black pudding, but if you get cheap stuff it's gross. Sometimes it can be nicely spiced. Scottish black pudding is fantastic.

American bacon is sliced pork belly. English bacon is loin which we Americans eat as pork chops/roast.

Eggs Benedict, New York? Girl a New York breakfast is a bag of hot Cheetos with your choice of drink, coffee, juice, soda or malt liquor. That’s New York, stop lying to the girl.

Only a small amount of upper class Americans eat eggs Benedict. Why not a typical southern breakfast? Sausage, bacon, eggs, hashbrowns, and either a small side of pancakes or grits?

Idk, I'm from the UK and I never call them bangers, I don't think many do at all. They're sausages. I just think calling them bangers has become a stereotype so we don't say it anymore

So you don’t hear bangers and mash ?

American breakfast is a regional thing. I think an all around American breakfast would be like a Sat/Sun donut, pancakes,bacon and eggs with a biscuit or not. Cereal and milk is advertised as a breakfast but its more of a snack

Ive never had eggs Benedict in my life, and runny yolks from American eggs probably would be a death sentence for me lol

In the UK, we would usually pluck the stems from the mushrooms before cooking them, maybe even peel them..
@jrd333 жыл бұрын
Rubbish. Certainly not for breakfast. Would probably slice them though, including the stalks, for ease of cooking.

I’ve never in all of my substantial years heard anyone call an English muffin a roll. If I had I would’ve felt perfectly justified in fly kicking them into next week. Where tf is this girl from?
