No way! You guys are Trixie and Katya fans!? I knew I loved you guys and have been almost a decade-long fan for a reason! :)))

I thought this was decent. Smarter than a lot of the Netflix rom-coms. Charming cast. I thought it made new parenthood look realistically hard but didn't judge either direction her life could've gone. Andrea Savage really made me laugh with her reactions as her mom.

I got confused towards the end because at a few points I could not tell what parts she was doing…the mom part or career part. It’s a sweet but unrealistic movie because at no point did she ever struggle with anything especially being the mom because it never shows her or the dad having careers but it shows them living very comfortable.
@BreakfastAllDay2 жыл бұрын
Maybe making us confused becomes the point? To suggest that whichever path she takes, it's all essentially the same, and she'll be OK. But then that undermines the premise of the movie ... anyway, yes, confusing!

The lack of actual conflict made this film lose character for me. It had potential but things were too easy in life for the protagonist in both life options. Too safe!

A world without lines lol! That and the classic reference to Don't Tell Mom The Babysitter's Dead made this review probably more memorable than the film itself. Kudos as always, you two!

Rafiki is an amazing film. The ending left me wanting so much more! I might give this a watch just for that reference. Also... Lili Reinhart I think is doing an interesting job as an up and coming producer. Interested to see what she does next

Oooohh Alonso was feeling a bit generous there imo... he thinks it's better than Crawdads?? Both nice, safe, bland, "my hair is always perfect and my clothes new and unblemished despite the reality of LIFE" films!!! 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ But as you say, yes lots of people love that kind of stuff !

Haven't seen it but I remember catching the trailer and it really felt like a late nineties chick flick (not that I have anything against such films) that you wind up passing by on TV on some afternoon.

Cool review. Did you all see On the Count of Three, now on Hulu? It’s about two friends who make a pact to commit suicide at the end of the day. The directorial debut of Jerrod Carmichael. It’s a comedy, but I suppose tragicomedy would be a more appropriate term. I think it’s a permanent movie, deeply resonant. Would love to hear your thoughts on it! :)keep up the great work.

Cute film. However I find that the option of an abortion was never discussed or contemplated like you said "odd". she just says "I feel like I have to keep it" Why though? when all signs pointed to the fact that this was SUCH a curveball that initially derailed all of her future plans. Are we to assume that these were discussions that were had off camera? Is she anti-abortion? given how distraught everyone was by the pregnancy it was a glaring omission that this option was never discussed. A more interesting feature (especially in the current abortion climate we are in) was to have her have an abortion and then go on from there. Two realities one in which she has an abortion and one in which she keeps the baby, then we look at her making peace with both decisions and move on with her life. Totally eliminating abortion as an option for a woman in her position is... jarring given the fact that we are already eliminating women's choice in real life as well.

Not interested in the film, but some of the movie recaps on your channel feel like just giving away the whole plot.
