@KimberlyShinsky
@KimberlyShinsky 7 күн бұрын
@@mekemeke8497 I completely agree. And with some of these parents, I wonder if they were taught anything. I can’t vote to fix someone’s parenting but I can vote to fix schools. I can vote for teachers to be allocated more money instead of it being allocated for sports facilities that are unnecessary. My son’s school spent 31 million dollars on an indoor sports facility. I’m PISSED. His is not the most expensive one. Some of these schools in Texas have football stadiums that rival any college and some nfl stadiums. We could have put that money to use by paying teachers more. Hiring more teachers so there are less students per teacher. More classes dedicated to trades. Setting up a room that less fortunate kids can go to pick up something for dinner so they don’t have to go hungry at night. Set up a room where they can go get donated lightly used clothes and shoes so they don’t have to get picked on for being poor and only having one pair of socks. We can do better than what we are doing with the materials we have to give kids an equal chance at a fulfilling life.

@@rra6033 For one the entire premise of school choice is flawed. What happens if everyone chooses the same few schools that are better funded. Logistically it can be very expensive and difficult to send your kids to schools far away from their neighborhood. Why not just try to improve all schools so that all kids have access to a better education without basing it on their tax bracket. Just because he’s new to politics doesn’t mean he’s not well on his way to being a career politician. Look at how he leveraged his support of Trump for a role in the administration. He certainly moves like an establishment politician.

@@keemg10 1. If everyone chooses the same few schools, then the schools that lose students must get better in order to remain open and operating. 2. Trump is the complete opposite of an establishment politician and Vivek was the only candidate to fully support Trump throughout the Republican primaries because they share many of the same views. Also he resigned from his role in the administration before it even began. Try to put your biases aside and think critically and think for yourself

@ because once you take the funding away or the schools that exist today have the risk that parents can do so, they will start to perform better. At the moment they are onto a sure thing. As soon as funding is linked to performance and results, things start to change. Then you have the same mindset you get in the private school pace. It’s the only way to change the culture of schools in the public space. The teachers unions in the public sector have a stronger voice than the parents and the interest of the children. This is not right.

They have turned the page on the holocaust How many Jewish people from families that suffered the holocaust do you see asking for DEI? He’s basically focusing on an access to a good education for all kids. It’s what you would expect a successful Indian to focus on. That’s why they have success at college and universities. Why don’t you follow the formula that works and a solution that fixes the cause or root of the problem, rather than waiting for DEI exception to be made. Take off your democrat glasses Prioritise your people rather than loyalty to a failed program that didn’t address the root cause

Americanism and neoliberalim at its finest. Maybe the problem is more multi-faceted than the explanation that you provided. Why not make cuts to administration and funnel the money to key sectors in the American education system that actually need the help? Most of these administration jobs are made up jobs (see David Graeber) to get people some work and justify overspending anyways? So why not fix that issue than disadvantaging more an already disadvantaged group of students who's education is already unintelligently dependent on property taxes of the area? @ Fine brother, but I agree with your example. However, I dont see genuinely good people wanting to play politics, and when they actually do, like Bernie and some others, the Citizens dont vote for them. So, doing with the best you have, Vivek, the snake, will win.

Amazing interview. Thank you The Breakfast Club for having Vivek Ramaswamy. You guys asked him great questions. I personally believe Vivek Ramaswamy is the right person for DOGE but since Elon donated a lot of money to Trump, Trump had to kick out Vivek Ramaswamy out of DOGE. Elon doesn't have enough knowledge of the government like Vivek has. Elon doesn't have enough knowledge about the unelected bureaucrats like Vivek does. It was a bad decision to put two leaders for one department. Vivek Ramaswamy will be one of the greatest presidents to ever live. Vivek Ramaswamy will be like one of the founding fathers of the USA. Elon ia the head of DOGE because he donated a lot of money to the Trump campaign, not because he is better than Vivek.

Why does Vivek have experience and knowledge of the government that Elon doesn't? (Hint: neither of them do) He is an almost billionaire because of a pump and dump scheme with a pharmaceutical company that barely ever had a drug get out of trials. (It may have had one...?)

20:41 What's the point in giving people vouchers to go to a private school. When we can just fund public schools more/better?
@iamlmmays
@iamlmmays 8 күн бұрын
Big city schools are already funded very well. It's the management that is the issue. For instance, Chicago public schools spend $30k per student. The average cost to attend a private high school in Chicago is $14k.
@malikward9237
@malikward9237 8 күн бұрын
@iamlmmays for this example will the public school funding end up going to private schools? Because I'm not really for that. Also how many grants will be given out? And to who will they be given too?
@iamlmmays
@iamlmmays 8 күн бұрын
@malikward9237 For the example that I provided, you see that a private school, on average, can educate twice as many students with money left over for free field trips. The money for these vouchers would come from the general school budget just as it would if the same student went to the public school except that the public school costs the tax payer twice as much as a private school im Chicago.

Too many entertainers and celebrities try to ask tough questions that matter to our community without the necessary mental fortitude. Charlamagne dropped the ball on this one. They should have brought in a DEI advocate who could provide data to counter Vivek’s selective data. DJ Envy could have sat this one out. Vivek controlled the entire interview by asking and answering his own questions. For such a serious topic-one that’s important to our community-I would have expected better preparation.

She brought up the offices he held in grade school. How is that important? It makes sense to ask what prepared him for the presidency without holding any public office, but her line of questioning was off. The Breakfast Club is good at talking gossip and hip hop news. They treat politicians the same way they treat stars, and that is why the situation is like this. It’s not always bad some times they ask good questions.

Bureaucracy outside of the US is so much worse. I believe that greed is the reason for the housing shortage. Vivek Ramaswamy is a great speaker, but some of his information is incorrect. He needs some good minority friends. He is obviously well read, but he knows everything about the founding fathers, but nothing about the civil rights movement. He doesn't understand what black people in this country have and are going through. He lives in some fantasy land where he bases the country on His experiences. His experiences and only his experiences only. I'm disappointed that The Breakfast Club did not educate him on what the word "woke" really means. They kept quiet instead.

He clearly makes the argument that everyone has their biases when hiring people which DEI was designed to address and teach people how to look past their own internal bias towards other people
