I've never been that "i don't need a man" kinda woman. Nah, I've always needed men in my life from a healthy approach. Interdependently. The work inside, facing the mirror is the hardest shit to do for most of us. I can just imagine what men have to deal with because so much is expected of them. They're expected to be providers, great in the bed, be handy, to deny their emotions outwardly, to protect, and to be a plethora of other expectations. Protect our men with respect, but be firm on accountability, trust and believe men need that. Level each other up.

Pele Kama yeah it’s hard cause we try to balance all what women require but sometimes we fail in one of those requirements you women request so us men become frustrated, lust for other women try to see what are they actually good at or y’all women decide to go out and approach a man that fulfilled those requirements, it’s crazy how our society works when it comes to relationships

So many women out here are already "doing the work" We're going to the seminars, reading self help books and know the importance of what it means to be internally better to exude and be a better person overall. Men, not to take away anything from the ones who do, but there are plenty who arent doing the work. Black men I love you all so much but not enough to continue to pacify toxic behaviors. Black women are surpassing a lot of you in so many areas and now it’s your turn to really learn how to heal, love and lead. I could not be more grateful for Devon taking the time to bring light, share and open up dialog for great conversations especially from a spiritual aspect on these topics! Definitely will be purchasing 😊

When I was with my ex girlfriend and used to go around telling my mum that she was the one and I love her and I would never cheat and have never cheated... she looked at me and said “don’t worry, you’re just like you’re dad and every other man, it’s in your blood. It’s not up yet” I was left speechless! Made me think like it was gonna happen so when it does then I shouldn’t be surprised and she said “when you do she either gonna be weak and leave or she’s gonna be strong and stay” I felt sad for her because she was talking about her and how her parents brought her up. That was the direct link to how my dad used to treat her smh

I had to do it a couple of times cause there's this voice that tells you to be strong and that you need to go through these hard times so you go back but at the end of the day it's diminishing who you are and creating greater brokenness.

They are paying me $95 per hour, and the most desirable thing regarding it is the fact I am not really that tech-savvy, they only asked for basic knowledge about internet and key typing skill...Awesome thing about this work is the more time I got to spend with my family. I am in a position to commit quality time with my friends and family and look after my babies and also going on holiday break together with them very often. You guys have to stop getting so defensive when another man speaks on the flaws of men and start listening to what he's actually saying. He never said that women don't, but he's a MAN speaking on his experience as a MAN and things that he did as a MAN. If his experience doesn't apply to you, move on! I love this conversation. This is exactly what my pastor was discussing. It still all boils down to making a decision. Goodness and truth in this interview. FYI, this conversation is not speaking for all men. In addition, he never said women don't cheat. Mind you instead of so called giving women game about how you can think like a man, he's simply addressing men of issues they may or may not be dealing with, because as women we can help, but we can't train or neuter or even change a man unless they make a decision to change. Men are not really animals and we (women) are not owners, vice versa.

Wryan Arielle to assume they are upset but not to understand what their upset about, they may not be upset but trying to make a point that he probably should of discussed, because the title of the book has to do with both men and women, thinking it would speak on both our issues and solutions, but the moral of the book that he spoke of is only a men issue that needs to be fixed, then of course you would see upset men, doesn’t mean they need the book

"Sometimes the only thing a man will understand is pain....A man who's really in touch with the Master in himself, when the woman steps away, its a catalyst for change." I'm going through this right now! My girl of 5 years (on & off) wants nothing but space and time (w/ no deadline in sight) and its killing me! We've never gone w/o speaking, so this is torture. I've literally begged for her to start fresh but she needs to see a change in behavior, over time. That immediately sparked the need for change and the process of doing the work. I need to be a better man, and it took her cutting me off to take it serious. The scariest part is not knowing whether she'll fall out of love with me, start dating and fall for someone else, or just not want me back at all. She can be pretty cold when she's over something. We never had a cheating issue, more so not being vulnerable, verbal abuse, and treating her as if she wasn't good enough. Just trusting and believing that God will show her my efforts and restore her faith in me being the man she can trust to grow old with. I'm all the way committed to this change..it hit CTG at 37 and it's hitting me at 33. it's time! These are definitely hard times though man smh

There is so much toxic masculinity in these comments! He is not bashing men! He is shedding insight into change and owning faults. Period. For both men and women. People are reaching with this. I get exactly what he is saying, on both sides. Women are more inclined to seek self help and therapy, than their counterparts. This is a truth. People love to search for the truth, but hate it when it is given to them. Take it, or don’t.

I loved this interview. I will be purchasing the book for my husband and myself to read. I myself had went on this spiritual walk as I call it in my late 20's. We women to have the lust issue. It is something for most humans to overcome. To not be controlled by the flesh. I got married a second time almost two years ago. I recently had to walk away from my marriage for 4 months. My husband and I recently got back together this past week. I can truly see some changes and really feel like he wants to out in the work to make our marriage work. I have been talking to him over the years about his behavior throughout his life because I knew him growing up. I told him the things he has done to me and other women in his past, that he wouldn't want it to happen to his Mom, sisters or daughter's. This show touched on so much for me this morning. It was pure confirmation for me. I will continue to master my KITTY KAT! Thank you Devon for a great book and how you articulated the book on the show today. Great show Breakfast Club.

Its a brilliant message, it's exactly what psychologist Carl Jung conceptualizes as the shadow. As humans we have proclivities shaped by thousands of years of evolution, but the flip side is that our brains frontal lobe govern cognitive behavior, the lesson is that we have the potential to usurp the negative parts of our primal behaviors by confronting our 'shadow' and integrating it within us in a healthy but not destructive way. Men who let lust destroy their relationships and lives are not using enough cognitive power.
