My husband and I both Love this book and found it INCREDIBLY difficult to read. In fact, we both almost quit the book. I was pissed that the dog even exists! Wtf??? My husband almost quit the book because it hit too close to home. Just a few months prior to us learning about The Truth About Men (which we learned about on Sway in the Morning🤗) came just a few months after I sent Kenyon a text saying “I think our marriage is over”. I was DONE dealing with the DAWG! It ran my husband for too long!! But because of Devon’s book, my husband was able to overcome that damn dog, and we were able to reconcile. We decided our Marriage was Worth The Fight! You’ve inspired us to our story, and we are helping so many!! Thank you Sway and Thank You Devon!!! 🙏🏼❤️🙏🏼

Strong minded men who do their work are in style. It is so attractive for a man to want to actually be faithful, so many guys would just say that it's just the way they are and it's such a turn off. Thank you Devon Franklin for sparking change in these men.

They're not required because black americans have no culture nor code of conduct. After crack hit the streets and women buying into feminism ideology, the black family has been destroyed. Now single mothers and absentee father's is the new dynamic for the typical black household, creating furtner dysfunction and chaos in our communities

Biblically speaking, I don't think we are created with lust. I would correct that here and say lust is the product of sin.

Galatians 5:17 say"For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would." but if you read it all the way to verse 26 the bible explains the nature of our flesh and how to avoid it. However, that's if we are biblically speaking.....
@Sandra-ly1ss
@Sandra-ly1ss 5 жыл бұрын
To your point, scripture says, "we've all sinned and fallen short of the glory of God" (Rom 3:23) which in my opinion lends itself to lust (inordinate affection) being apart of the sin state of man. It doesn't mean we have to live there however, I believe we have to acknowledge it to defeat/overcome it. Secondly, scriptures says sin is the product of lust, not vice versa - James 1:13-15 KJV. As you'll note it says, every man (mankind) is tempted when he/she is drawn away by their own lust which results in sin and when sin is complete/finish it brings forth death. Therefore, my conclusion from this is that sin is the result of lust .. just some food for thought.
@perc-ai
@perc-ai 5 жыл бұрын
@@Sandra-ly1ss Lust was manifested when man ate of the knowledge of good and evil. In otherwords, sin is a product of understanding the state between the corporeal division and the gap between omniscience(God knowing Good & Evil In Totality). We were first created knowing only Good meaning God did not want us to suffer or approach his omniscient state, however his creation who knew Evil betrayed Him (Satan).
@Sandra-ly1ss
@Sandra-ly1ss 5 жыл бұрын
@@perc-ai ,. I hear ya and I agree that was the original design however, after man's fall the result was what the scriptures I previously stated. However, we can respectfully disagree on the nuances.

(Sigh) And again... to even consider actually spending time reading the book of Proverbs in order to gain wisdom.. which is far greater than silver and gold?? Chile please. Lol (Deeper sigh) Broken men create a broken world. Women are, by nature, nurturers and healers. When men are in proper position, things will aright and align. Animals insects humans all are naturally attracted to what look good to them. This term Lust is dumb. This is normal. So do dogs lust after other dogs? Do insects lust after insects ? It's sounds so stupid. Guys and woman are always going to be sexually attracted to what looks good. Devon shouldn't feel bad about it. It's a natural thing but salute the men who fight their urges.

Why would you need to talk about your lust for other women in a marriage? If you already decided you're not going to act on it, why bring it up? That would only instill insecurity in the wife...

I find it odd that as pastor he didn't even include the necessity for the transforming power that only comes thru Jesus Christ!! No wonder he is struggling!! The lust (the flesh) is a condition that men and women both suffer from equally. Yet, it is manifested in different ways. Men want more women. And women want someone else's man ( the seduction). These are just two examples. But we both need help. I wouldn't expect someone who wasn't a Christian to include this information of transformation. But as a pastor, I find this omission to be very strange. I would have to ask, "Are you really trying to help men"? And are you really serious about helping yourself! If so, go back to the "SOURCE " for all help. And this time give 100% of your heart ! Then you will find it!
