There's plenty of guys "breathing life" into R&B today, and has been all these years. Tyrese speaking like he's the only one singing the tune of the Quiet Storm singers of the heyday is delusional and pretty checked out tbh. Did he forget or not know the existence of Devin Morrison, Durand Bernarr, Cory Henry or Anderson Paak? Don't get me wrong: he's charismatic as hell, but I just I _can't_ stand the use of AutoTune / Pitch Correction in literally all of his songs I've heard. Its so weird there's such a prominent AutoTune being used, while he's at the same time proclaiming to be the savior of R&B in 2024. Then why sound production wise like the lil tay tay's out there? The delivery's a little vanilla too, like he's holding back in terms of performance. There's no James Ingram, Freddie Jackson or Luther Vandross to be found there. Or is that the the vocals are compressed completely flat? Either he's not singing very dynamically, or they completely squashed the the vocal takes via compression so the end result sounds a little lifeless. It's just that the songs I've heard are in my opinion a little haphazardly mixed, even amateurishly so to be frank. Which is weird considering he's a relatively big name with the kind of recording budget you'd fathom would bring out a result that's not harsh and shrill. I'm being critical, but it's just because big talk should warrant also big results. And that's not evident here in my opinion to the degree that he's been talking about.

Now, I see her passing in a whole new light. My mom was 17 when she had me. Never left me or my brothers to fend for ourselves. She was a phenomenal Mom all the days of her life. I miss her so much, but God has her now, so I'll take all I've learned from her and keep striving to be the woman she raised me to be for the remaining days of my life. She was truly a Wildflower. Now, she now resides with God, continuing to bloom in His garden...I Love You Mama.

Kudos to Tyrese for an amazing piece of music and video short film. This was very well done. It brings back memories for me when my mother passed away. Family and friends surrounded my mama’s hospital bed as she laid slowly dying. It was the same hospital where she once worked. I felt so helpless! Mama was a real trooper because she hanged on until she couldn’t no more. In the wee hours of August 19th, 2023, Mama passed away. My life has never been the same since. It never will be. I not only lost my mama, but also my friend. She meant the world to me. I will always be a “mama’s boy”. I wear it like a badge of honor. One day, we will see each other again, and at that time, we will NEVER be separated again! I miss you so much, Mama! Peace.

My mom passed 21 years ago. I was the only girl out of my parents' 5 children. I didn't want my mom to be alone, and I thought I was strong enough to handle seeing her take her last breath, but I wasn't, and I'm still devastated, she was my best friend, my everything oh how I needed her when my first born child/ son was murdered, her first grandchild. I will NEVER be the same.😭😭😭

I am here after watching Tyrese’s interview on The Breakfast Club. Thank you for this amazing and heartfelt ShortFilm. It brought tears to my eyes. I loved every single second of it. For Tyrese Gibson to honor his mother (may she Rest In Peace) this way while clearly still coping with the pain of her physical absence is a power no one can understand unless they have walked in his shoes. Tyrese is so gifted and so talented and so transparent and this makes hearing him sing, “Wildflower”one of the warmest and most heartfelt experiences ever. Tyrese, you were created to be you and everything else you do is a gift you give to us. Thank you. We are praying for you that God will continue to keep you and give you the comfort, support and peace you need each day.❤

Today would’ve been My Aunt Cynthia’s 80th birthday. She passed 18 years ago. She raised her 3 kids, my mother’s 4 children, (Including myself) and her grands due to my mother’s addiction and she gave her life to us literally. This song brought out a whole different perspective on how I view Women and their internal struggle just to survive mentally. She was a mean surly lady but she kept all of us together and out of the system. Fly high Angel your legacy still lives on 😔🌹🙏🏾
