An old diamond, mind bendingly sweet guitar, and brilliantly 'off' at the ideal moments.

One of my very favorites. My very favourite guitarist, and my second favourite singer, after Bob Dylan. Love Verlaine's voice!

"Breakin' In My Heart" -- Tom Verlaine
@Bobjb99914 жыл бұрын
@russvr I saw that quote years ago,re. drugs uprooting you.Not a desirable state,said Tom.He also said somewhere psychedelics could give enjoyable experiences,but could also give experiences so awful,one never wanted to risk repeating them ever again! My theory's Tom's Television song "Poor Circulation",about a bad acid trip that puts someone temporarily in a psych ward,just might be autobiographical: Tom's last acid trip!?(See my upload of the song with description of circumstantial evidence).

I didn't take any brown acid, and it still was kindof crazy there, metabob.

Is this Verlaine? You didn't list the name on the song. I really like 'em. Swell choice lady love.

What about the green acid? Or is that for the bass player? Can I watch while NOT on acid, or is such conduct prohibited?

Just a little "Woodstock" joke. Actually, as someone who gets high on life and FCP and not much else, this is about as "acidy" as it gets for me.

By the time he'd put this song on his 1st solo LP in '79,Tom had re-written most of the words from its1st incarnation as an early Television song(compare YT upload of Television doing it live,'75).It's too bad Tom solo didn't record more unreleased Television songs,as many abandoned Television oldies were goodies,&musically more exciting than most (but not all) of his solo songs,imo.Too bad Tom got increasingly mellow musically&often a bit boring, comparatively.More screamin' Fenders,please!
