I broke my fibula on my 65th jump on a night mass attack on Sicily DZ!! It definitely hurts especially with all the rehab and physical therapy. I retired with 81 jumps. Keep up the good work brother!!

Yep, it hurts. I don't remember getting any physical therapy at the time, just a couple months in a cast. Then I started running and prepping for the Q course a year later.

Nice gotta love the interviews with my former Ranger Bat Boys. I got a great picture of one of my Bros who got his bicep ripped off on a jump we did. The 97zulu MOS. That is the Ninja MOS. Yes, in Ranger Batt. Every day is a Ranger day. If you don't like to PT, then Ranger Batt is not for you. RLTW 3/75

Hey Randall do you or did you know Terrence Popp? He was a Ranger that jumped into Panama as well and landed hard fucking himself up and the Panamanians ran him over with a pickup trying to crush him but luckily he was in a little bit of a ditch and so the vehicle went over him without hitting him, he went on to SF from the Rangers and became a 1st SGT, Top Popp, he does podcasts now and has talked about Panama several times, one of his podcasts is called Live from the Lair and another is called Redonkulus.

@@randallsurles2844 that’s awesome, small world lol, he’s got some great stories about his career, check out his podcasts if you haven’t seen them, can’t wait for part 2 of your story, and man did you describe to a tee how the Army was during the 80’s/90’s lol, with just getting thrown into spots/positions with almost zero prep or training for em lmao, figure it out as ya go, I was a 13F in the 1st ID 2/5 FA late 80’s in Germany, sometimes I wished I stayed in beyond my first enlistment and other times I’m glad I didn’t 😅

Alot of his stories may not raise the antenna for the non-gi's out there but all his stories about going to and being assigned horrible jobs and duties hit home. The "re-organizing" the arms room according to their ser. no's and the NBC story were freaking hilarious.
