Breaking Backpack Battles By Making Everything 1,000% Faster

Technically I made everything 992% faster, but also I hit the cap of making things 900% faster for a total of 1000% speed counting the base speed. So it's more accurate to say, I made things 900% faster, or, made everything 10 times as fast, but y'know, it's less snappy. That snappiness is important to me.
Also, a thousand just sounds more impressive than ten, right? Ten. Who cares.
Anyways, I get up to 568 visible buffs. The Luck is sadly not visible behind the heat, but it's probably at least 600 total buffs.
I'd be submitting for either Most Buffs. Sadly, for Fastest Cooldowns, .25 is already taken by someone else and I'd need to use an item other than Crown to beat it.

I don’t, it’s still better to try and speed up something with faster base speed like Hero or Villain Sword. Someone got to .24 speeding up Crossblades.

I think you could start combining emeralds quite early, because you don't apply that much poison, so they would taking up less space

@@derrickvo9292 Well, higher tier emeralds start to convert poison quicker, so that may help you to survive at the beginning of the round and reach the velocity, although the difference is very small

About this whole combining debate:D : I get why not combining is much much better but a couple combined maybe prevent you from dying in semi-burst matchups as it will let you achieve escape velocity quicker

It turns out I'm getting a lot of "escape velocity" from my Jynx Torquilla, which is a much more efficient source of "front-loaded, psuedo heat" than high quality topaz. So I think my frontloaded speedup is doing plenty good thanks to that!

Yeah you needed a cap at the end with an emerald on it that and some mana generation to trigger the crowns faster

32:15 - at some point the mana orb becomes viable. putting it at 2 crowns perfect topaz and jynx the +12 buffs would give you double digits of regeneration, vampyrism and heat by itself. You could replace blueberry with it.

Thank you for these vids. It has re ignited the spark I had for a gem-only run, and it also makes me think about using gems in the backpack of other builds. Have you considered using green gems with a hungry blade? I'm pretty sure it would work

i think its better to have 2 strong health potions than blind goobert for surviving the first 11s cap is also good but its mainly for the first 3s so not so sure its the best option there is also mana orbs that work really well as a high roll for the build you can also try doing another challenge while doing that which is getting the highest block all you need is getting vamparic armour and thats it the speed will do its job its also good as it help you with surviving (if you will try it its better to get stone skin potion rather than healing potion) and a bit of qustion but isnt it better to go for torch start as it also help you getting coal and 1 coal will give you more haste than a chipped topaz and if you didnt get fire than its fine as long as it gets you though the start after it you can easily get things that help you survive while still maintaining the challenge

That seems good for winrate, certainly. There’s the slight issue I want my opponent to be able to survive and maybe grind regen if that’s what they’re doing, but admittedly that’s probably not really gonna be important.

The Jynx only speed up to 40%. Perhaps, when you generate heat before the Jynx sped up to 40% additional triggering doesn't do anything. At the time the Jynx triggered 3 times (each) you had 5 heat. That's 40% speed up. 30% from the Jynx and 10% from the heat. From that point on speed up through Jynx are ignored. That means for the crowns you had 30% speed up through the Jynx, 20% through the Fanny Packs and 988% through heat. A total of 1038% speed up. That means the crowns would trigger every 0.2408s. As a programmer I can tell you it's possible depending on how the devs implemented it that these numbers are only rounded up, not down. In that case it would show 0.25s. So it's possible that there's no limit at 1000% speed up.

Also as a programmer, I know exactly how it works. Not really because I'm a programmer, but because I read the patch notes :P. The way that speed works is just base speed / (1+speed up), clarified in patch notes I believe one or two weeks ago. You have an off by one error (typical, me too buddy) with how you calculate speed. You see a 1038% speed up, but you're also missing the fact that there's a base speed of 100%, so it is actually closer to .22 cooldown and not .24. It also displays to three sig figs, as you can see at other points in the video.

I do think it'd make it faster, since the fire stone does do a good chunk of heat. I don't believe it would kill the opponent very quickly, but it would potentially be an issue if the opponent had no healing at all.

Just a heads up buddy, when you sold the darksaber because you had to survive 5 rounds and you had 5 lives I'm pretty sure you still could technically lose the game. I remember a game I played where I had to survive 1 round and I had 1 life left, and when I lost the round it said "game over" during the summary page when all the trophies go into your chest. It usually says "you survived," not like it's that big of a deal but it is one trophy and bragging rights

You do need to combine some of them, because they activate faster and speed up the rest of your gems. Ideally, you do it when you don't have space any more

I calculated it and yes it's capping at 1000% otherwise your items would go 4,6310705e-5Times their original speed which is wayyyyyyyyy faster than it was going

I mean fanny pack are 10% speed, you were at 494 so 988 speed bonus. 988 + 10 is 998. Your items having factor 10 seams normal. Edit : but with birds it should go lower, you might be right

Not exactly. There's a base 100% speed, so it should be 1100, not 1000.
