Well that story has 2 parts. The season 1 nonsense that is just kinda there. And then this one episode in season 4 that was done very well. Problem is, you only get one chance at a first impression, so a lot of viewers probably dismissed the nuances of this episode because they already didn't like this plot in Season 1.

As a German, i have always noticed and wondered about the several Germany references in BCS & BB. It feels like Germany is the 3rd most relevant country after the USA & Mexico without any reason or explanation behind it... A Video about the various references in both series could be really fun.

I like that they expanded that connection in BCS and that they constantly used german actors, which is really nice when you are german yourself. There is a scene at Madrigal HQ in BB and even the extras in the background speak fluent german, the signs were all correct and the police uniforms were real. Very nice, cause things like that are often pinched in US productions. Might even been shot in Germany, that might be interesting to know. They also explained a connection between meth labs in Czech Republic and Madrigal, which is really plausible, cause Czech Republic is known for meth pruduction and Germany is a giant market for this. Someone made some good research there.

The fantasy football guide provided by Marie in June is early, but not late like our friend says it was. Most fantasy football drafts are held live or online or on the phone in late August. A few weeks prior to the season. Not held in April or May or June

I've wondered if that scene of Skylar doing dishes was added later, maybe to explain why she tries to execute that wastewater plan alone. As you say, the sound of the toilet flushing foreshadows and could easily serve as a direct lead-in to that plan--it's too perfect not to have been deliberate. Except that if you cut straight to Bill Burr maybe we'd wonder why Skylar is juggling babysitting with feeding him his his lines? I guess logically Walt would be busy at the lab, but . . . I don't know, just always felt like an unnecessary extra beat, and frankly a much weaker lead-in than the Huell scene, but the writers must have had a reason.

Well, I finally found something to correct you on. Yes, the NFL draft would’ve occurred 2 months prior in April, but that was a Fantasy Football preview magazine, and a fantasy draft could absolutely occur 2 months after June (I.e. mid-August)
